[Bug 37328] Re: IBM T23: resuming from sleep, display is blank or switched to VGA output

2007-06-02 Thread schlauf
This bug remains unfixed and occurs to me on my Thinkpad X30 as well.
Maybe it should be moved to the correct forum group (not xserver-xorg-
video-savage) for proper addressing?

USB-devices - regardless whether they were plugged in or not at the time
of suspend - are no longer recognized when the system wakes up again.
This worked flawlessly with Edgy Eft; after installing Feisty Fawn a few
weeks ago, it never has worked.

[Bug 321578] Re: Toshiba satellite L350/L505 fan regulation problem in Ubuntu 8.10/Ubuntu 9.10

2009-12-25 Thread schlauf
I have a Toshiba L350-D (AMD Athlon QL-60) whose fan starts to blow off
after some time on Ubuntu 9.10. Temperature readout works fine, but the
fan will never stop again.

This problem did NOT occur whilst running on Ubuntu 8.04. Any
suggestions?

[Bug 1776563] Re: Acer Aspire A315 IOAPIC failure on Ubuntu 18.04, kernel hangs, can't load, kernel freeze (AMD Ryzen 5/Radeon/Raven) / AMDGPU Hybrid crash

2018-12-16 Thread schlauf
I performed a full 18.10 install and my A315-41 with Ryzen 3 2200U
performed flawlessly. Everything works out of the box, except for
graphical performance.

Everything I am doing on the desktop has a little lag and it seems to me
that CPU load is rising quickly already with simple tasks on the
desktop. Is it possible that there is software rendering taking place?
How would I find out? According to glxinfo, direct rendering is in
effect.

Would it be the right action to install AMDGPU Pro driver? Or is there
any other chance to make this piece of hardware sprint away?
