[Bug 297775] Re: konqueror cannot resolve mozilla.com
OK, update -- The scenario above occurs when entering "www.mozilla.com" in the address bar, without the protocol specification. According to the error message, the protocol defaults to http. Entering "http://www.mozilla.com"; DOES work, however. Entering "https://www.mozilla.com"; produces a similar error message as above, but explicitly stating "protocol: https". So this is actually two bugs in one. -- konqueror cannot resolve mozilla.com https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/297775 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 297775] Re: konqueror cannot resolve mozilla.com
Yes, the issue persists. I think this might be in part caused by my router, similarly to the issue for Safari on Mac OS X currently being reported (see http://www.heise.de/newsticker/Fritz-Box-bremst-Mac--/meldung/121555 for an example in German). In this case this would make this bug a duplicate of http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=162600. -- konqueror cannot resolve mozilla.com https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/297775 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdebase in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 559169] [NEW] Shortcut keys not working
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase I've defined several shortcut keys in the menu editor, e.g., Meta+W for starting Firefox or Meta+E for starting Emacs. None of these work, however. Public bug reported: Starting with Ubuntu Eoan, chromium-browser is shipped as snap package, instead of a regular .deb package. This is wasteful, since all dependencies have to duplicated. [Bug 1899352] [NEW] Pulseaudio cannot be kept from starting or respawning
Public bug reported: On my freshly installed system, I need to run pulseaudio in system mode. Alas, by default, pulseaudio is run in user mode, and is set to respawn, so that I cannot kill the user process and start pulseaudio in system mode. I tried: 1. Editing /etc/pulse/client.conf, setting autospawn = no. This did nothing. 2. Removing the file /etc/pulse/client.conf.d/01-respawn-something. I removed the file /etc/xdg/autostart/pulseaudio.desktop. Why on earth do you implement four different ways to annoy your users? On the other hand, this did NOTHING. Thanks, that's fair enough. My remaining questions then are: 1. Why is /usr/bin/start-pulseaudio needed? 2. Why is /etc/pulse/client.conf ignored? 3. In light of 2, why is /etc/pulse/client.conf.d/01-respawn-something needed? 4. And in light of /lib/systemd/user/pulseaudio.service, why is /etc/xdg/autostart/pulseaudio.desktop needed? Wouldn't one way to start pulseaudio be sufficient? Also, please don't ignore the configuration. Finally, how can I use any of these methods to start pulseaudio in system mode? [Bug 1899352] Re: Pulseaudio cannot be kept from starting or respawning
The package "pulseaudio" contains the files: /usr/bin/start-pulseaudio-x11 /etc/pulse/client.conf.d/01-enable-autospawn.conf Thus, it should be fairly obvious where I got the files from. [Bug 1579490] [NEW] Installer cannot install in open LUKS partition
Public bug reported: It's not possible to install Xenial into an existing LUKS partition. Before starting the graphical installer, I created and opened the LUKS partition as /dev/mapper/root. In the manual "Prepare Partitions" screen, /dev/mapper/root is shown as disk instead of partition. The partitioner thus creates ANOTHER partition in my partition, which fdisk shows as /dev/mapper/root-part1. Once the original installation is complete, I reboot again into the graphical installer image. When I open the LUKS partition as /dev/mapper/root, fdisk shows a partition root-part1 inside /dev/mapper/root. But I cannot mount this: # mount /dev/mapper/root /mnt -> wrong fs type, ... # mount /dev/mapper/root-part1 /mnt -> does not exist # mount /dev/mapper/root/root-part1 /mnt -> does not exist # mount /dev/mapper/root1 /mnt -> does not exist Thus, the installation is borked and useless. [Bug 1942360] [NEW] LibreCalc: Missing entry fields in dialog
Public bug reported: Some of the user dialogs within LibreCalc (version 6.4.7.2, on Kubuntu 20.04) do not show entry fields. In particular, all dialogs for Conditional Formatting are affected. See the attachment as an example for a bad dialog: There should be an entry field for the formula, but it is completely absent. That this is a bug has been confirmed at the LibreOffice forum: https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/librecalc-conditional-formatting-for-separate-ranges/67552 Alas, I don't have a screenshot showing the correct dialog. (I hope the package is right, but the search broke with an error message.) *** Description:Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS Release:20.04 libreoffice-calc: Installed: 1:6.4.7-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 Candidate: 1:6.4.7-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 Version table: *** 1:6.4.7-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 500 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:6.4.2-0ubuntu3 500 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal/main amd64 Packages ** Affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: librecalc ** Attachment added: "Dialog missing entry field" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1942360/+attachment/5522340/+files/condform.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1942360 Title: LibreCalc: Missing entry fields in dialog To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1942360/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1942363] [NEW] apport-bug unusably broken
Public bug reported: For a regarding LibreOffice Calc, I started apport-cli in order to submit a bug report. Attached picture #1 shows the second screen of apport. I'm not reporting a display problem, but I've chosen "Other problem" before. And "I don't know" isn't exactly the correct option, "Neither of those" would be more accurate. Picture #2 shows the collection of information. There isn't really anything to collect in my case, so I'd rather not have apport attach random data. Picture #3 shows the result of the collection. No idea. Pressing Cancel yields another one of those windows. How are we supposed to submit bug reports? Especially since the link to manually report a bug is buried in very long list of things that could go wrong on a random web page. Kindly fix apport-cli so that bug reporting is possible (or make manual reporting easier). *** Description:Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS Release:20.04 apport: Installed: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27.18 Candidate: 2.20.11-0ubuntu27.18 Version table: *** 2.20.11-0ubuntu27.18 500 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal-updates/main amd64 Packages 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal-updates/main i386 Packages 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal-security/main amd64 Packages 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal-security/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.20.11-0ubuntu27 500 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal/main amd64 Packages 500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal/main i386 Packages ** Affects: apport (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "Problem kind" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1942363/+attachment/5522346/+files/apport0.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1942363 Title: apport-bug unusably broken To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/1942363/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
