Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs I installed Ubuntu 9.1 Netbook remix, everything worked fine. After one automatic update (about 2 weeks ago) Launchpad became unsable slow, seems sth. with tranparency or graphic driver went wrong. Yes, of course. I used the Ubunutu NetBook remix 9.1 when it came out. Installed it and everything worked fine. Sorry if i mixed the names. The problem occurs in this "netbook-launcher" if this is the correct name of the package. the one that provides menu like access to applications, favourites etc. on your desktop. When you move the moue there are transparency-effects and selected item is highlighted. This works until I used "system updates" Don't know the exact date when I updates my system, but the new kernel image was included. I tried again with the old image the first release contained, but didn't work again. Everything else installed works with normal speed. Just this "launcher" is unsuable slow.Takes up to 5 seconds to refresh when you use the mouse to select an item. Hope, it's a bit clearer now. Hi, here some additional information. I switched an external LCD to VGA out and the netbook-launcher works fine. After detaching the VGA connection, the behaviour is as before, slow.
