[Bug 52952] Re: Attempting to install kubuntu-desktop with apt-get fails with unmet dependencies
I receive this error when when trying to apt-get kubuntu-desktop patr...@patrick-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop [sudo] password for patrick: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. I ran sudo dpkg --configure -a and after loading a lot of files? I have on the terminal : ┌┤ Configuring kdm ├─ │ Default display manager: gdm kdm with gdm highlighted. It then went thru the process of setting up a whole lot of what I suspect are Kubuntu stuff all starting with a K. I wont run sudo apt-get -f install until you see if what I have done is enough.
