[Bug 1242018] [NEW] Lost some icons after upgrade to 13.10

2013-10-19 Thread P J Reil
Public bug reported:

Last night I upgraded from 13.04 to 13.10. It went surprisingly well.
Just about everything works except that I lost my shutdown icon and the
hibernate selection in my sessions menu. I was able to hibernate via the
terminal so I know it stil works but I would prefer to do it from the
sessions menu, as usual. I would also like to get the shutdown icon back
in my gnome bar. Can someone direct me to the proper procedure?

Thanks in advance.

[Bug 950491] [NEW] [HDA-Intel - HDA NVidia, playback] No sound at all

2012-03-08 Thread P J Reil
Public bug reported:

Cannot capture online streaming audio (NVIDIA graphics cards v173) after
upgrading to 11.10 64X from 32X. The card seems to be working fine in
other respects. I had been listening to audiobooks on line but can't
sunce the upgrade. In my searcj for remedies I have seen some others
refering to the same problem but have not founf any solutions.

"patrick@patrick-HP-Pavilion-dv6700-Notebook-PC:~$ 'apt-cache policy pkgname'
apt-cache policy pkgname: command not found"

I'm not sure if this is a bug. I'm new to Ubuntu and am a little lost.
Just looking for direction.

Since Publican is now up to version 1.5, would it be possible to package
