[Bug 296345] [NEW] KDE4 plasma widget "now playing" doesn't work with AmaroK 2 beta 3 (KDE 4.1.3)

2008-11-10 Thread masjan
Public bug reported:

Kubuntu 8.10 with KDE 4.1.3 and Amarok 2 beta 3

The Kde-Plasma widget "now playing" don't show anything from Amarok. It
didn't work on Kubuntu 8.04 and Amarok 1.4.x. I don't know if this is
issue of amarok (is still in beta) or kubuntu

I've tried to get lm-sensors working, but it didn't found any supported
chips. Then I found a bug-report for Hardy where stands, that it's
possibly coretemp's issue.

If i try to modprobe coretemp I receive "No such device" and in
/var/log/messages: coretemp: Unknown CPU model 1c

[Bug 296478] Re: coretemp doesn't support intel atom processors

2009-10-17 Thread masjan
so, I did some testing today. I use Ububtu 9.10 with latest updates.

I tested kernel 2.6.31.4 (2.6.31-02063104) where the problem still persists.
Then I tested kernel 2.6.32 (2.6.32-999.200910171000) and IT WORKS!

No error if I modprobe coretemp and lm-sensors does work!

Is it possible to backport these changes to karmic or we have to wait
until ubuntu 10.04?

[Bug 860025] [NEW] ALPS Touchpad recognized as PS/2 Generic Mouse

2011-09-26 Thread masjan
Public bug reported:

On my Dell Inspiron 15R (Dell N5110) the touchpad is recognized as PS/2 Generic
Mouse.
I tried some solutions and tips and none of them worked. I found a
Work-In-Progress driver in #550625 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/550625)

This didn't work for me either.
Seth Forshee in comment #431
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/550625/comments/431)
asked me to file different bug, because my hardware is somewhat different.

And here I am!
There is no scrolling, no multitouch and I can't deactivate my touchpad,
because it is recognized as PS/2 mouse (OK, I can but only with 'sudo rmmod
psmouse' and until next system start).

After installing 0.6 version
(http://people.canonical.com/~sforshee/alps-touchpad/psmouse-alps-0.6/psmouse-alps-dkms_0.6_all.deb)
sudo rmmod psmouse
sudo modprobe psmouse
