I completely removed the nvidia driver and now I'm using the Nouveau Driver. I cant believe, the Nouveau is really more better than the proprietary driver, I enabled the Sync to VBlank on my system and its working really fine right now. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 with Nvidia Drivers 295.40, and still having crash problems. In another installation that I've made some days before, I used the 302.07 and had problems too... I really dont know what to do, I had this problem in Fedora 17 with Nvidia Driver too. I've upgraded the driver for 302.17 and still having this issue. The problem seems to be with hardware acceleration, because all times that I use GIMP, Blender, VLC and watch flash videos the system log me off. Stephane, as you said on #387, the Ubuntu have a lot of problems IN A LTS RELEASE. I can't believe this, the people that used 10.04 and has upgraded to 12.04 is a lot disappointed, sometimes the system freezes, sometimes the system log off ramdomly.
