2008-10-18 Thread localhost
I don't know for real, but we do develop on python2.4, so I got plenty
of python2.4 stuff on my machine.

I removed python-setuptools, installed python-setuptools and after that
installed python-pastescript.

No errors :-).

[Bug 84505] Re: sound volume control broken on dell inspiron 9300 laptop

2007-05-23 Thread localhost
For me, combining the sound controls is not the solution. The volume of
the mono or bass speaker is much stronger than the two normal speakers.
If the volume gets low, all you hear is the low not that nice to hear
sound from the speaker at the bottom.

What I find even stranger is, that I did not have this problem with this
laptop when I was using 6.10. Even more, after doing a dist upgrade to
feisty I didn't have this problem. But after doing a clean install
lately I encounter this problem.

[Bug 1748828] [NEW] Bluetooth states off in systray while on

2018-02-11 Thread localhost
Public bug reported:

The bluetooth indicator suggest that bluetooth is disabled (turned off)
while this is not the case. See screenshot 1. Only after opening the
bluetooth toggle, you can see the actual correct action: turn off. See
screenshot 2.

As far as I can remember, this behaviour has been introduced on 17.10.

[Bug 1748828] Re: Bluetooth states off in systray while on

2018-02-14 Thread localhost
Yes, this seems similar. With one specific difference. In bug 1738838
you can't turn off bluetooth using the toggle. For me this is possible,
but the bluetooth option is then removed from settings dropdown. Need to
go to settings and turn on bluetooth again.

And while testing I found a new interesting situation. After turning it
off and on again, the option now is correct in the tray. So it states
"on" and the dropdown shows "turn off".

Just noticed another 'feature'. From a clean boot, the indicator is
correct, even on the login screen. But after a resume, the indicator
states "off" while bluetooth is actually on.

[Bug 1436055] [NEW] VPN stops working on launch transmission

As soon as transmission is started, my active openVPN connection stops

This goes voor the GUI VPN connection as well as the terminal VPN

working sometime after upgrading to the current 15.04 alpha.

Seems the bug is not valid as I submitted it. I just installed Deluge to
see if that causes the same issue. It does.

So it is some sort of networking issue.

[Bug 2073215] Re: Upgrade to snapd_2.63+24.04_amd64.deb fails on snap-update-ns.dpkg-new

2024-07-26 Thread localhost
On my machine, company device, I have ESET Protect running. I think that
is actually the cause of the issue. So I think it is safe to mark this
report as invalid. As fas as I can see, I don't have the rights to do
so.
