After desktopcouch/gwibber crash things come to normal!!! Is the issue

[Bug 440304] Re: wireless on/off button changes not reflected

2009-10-05 Thread linusr
Well, After Step 4 network manager reconnects to wireless network
automatically. So, once boot into Ubuntu 'switch' works as expected.

If switch is 'off' during boot, is when the problem. Once wireless
switched on, bluetooth icon appears in notification area but wireless
options greyed out.

And its an slide switch, has two fixed positions.

Thanks

2009-11-09 Thread linusr
Installing and configuring eclipse from repo should be more easier than
manually downloading it from eclipse.org. Thats the point it's in repo!?

eclipse-jpd or eclipse-pdt if installed from repo can have commonly used
update sites pre-configured for ease of use. I doubt if anyone wants to
use eclipse without any plugins.

[Bug 440304] Re: wireless on/off button changes not reflected

2009-11-13 Thread linusr
Why this is incomplete?

Behavior is bit different in Kubuntu,

1. Start Computer with wifi switch off
2. Login to Kubuntu
3. Switch on wifi
4. Kubuntu detects wireless networks but cannot connect

In Ubuntu, wirless is inactive after wifi is switched on.

[Bug 40515] Re: Error dialog for subtitles

2009-10-24 Thread linusr
I too have the same issue in Ubuntu Karmic. I get an dialog 'error
loading subtitle' but video play with subtitle.

Installed gnome mplayer via software centre. Totem crashes opening the
same file.

not sure if it had to do with .sub or .idx file
