[Bug 1075421] Re: Realtek RTL8188CE wireless does not work in Ubuntu 12.04LTS
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 902557 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/902557 I finally fixed this problem by compiling and installing the latest drivers from Linux Wireless in Ubuntu 12.04, in my case the "compat- wireless-3.5.1-1-snpc.tar.bz2" package: http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Download/stable/ One needs the header files for his kernel and the build-essentials package. I recommend also to run the script "driver-select" with the option rtlwifi before compiling because one doesn't need the other drivers and it reduces building time: sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r) build-essential tar jvxf compat-wireless-3.5.1-1-snpc.tar.bz2 cd compat-wireless-3.5.1-1-snpc ./scripts/driver-select rtlwifi make sudo make install But the downside is you have to rebuild the driver after every kernel update. I'm running the driver for two days now with excessive closing and opening the lid and didn't get any disconnects. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1075421 Title: Realtek RTL8188CE wireless does not work in Ubuntu 12.04LTS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-nettool/+bug/1075421/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1882213] Re: cp file from external HDD to NFS on Pi 3B causes ubuntu 19.10 and 20.04 kernel to hang
I have the same issue. I just copy files via network(via cable) with rsync from local PC to USB HDD (USB HDD is attached to raspberry). In 30-90 minutes Raspberry hangs every time. I made this test with 2 different hardware sets (Raspberry + SD card + external USB HDD). I had the same issue with different hardware. I've added photo to attach. ** Attachment added: "Photo of error" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-raspi/+bug/1882213/+attachment/5408642/+files/soft%20lockup.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1882213 Title: cp file from external HDD to NFS on Pi 3B causes ubuntu 19.10 and 20.04 kernel to hang To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-raspi/+bug/1882213/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
