[Bug 1852183] Re: [X11] copy/paste (clipboard) is broken in Ubuntu 19.10

2020-02-02 Thread joshua pritikin
I'm running Eoan. After studying the comments here, I installed
libgtk-3-0 from focal (https://packages.ubuntu.com/focal/libgtk-3-0).
This forced me to upgrade CUPS. I'm not sure if printing still works,
but the cut/copy/paste issue appears to be resolved.

I've never had a problem before. The touchpad worked great on all Ubuntu

generally use Wayland. I haven't tested the touchpad on X11.

Since I use wayland, I'm not sure what to report instead of Xorg.0.log
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection#In_case_Touchpad_features_like_scrolling.2C_tapping.2C_etc._do_not_work_at_all.)

2019-12-04 Thread joshua pritikin
Ah ha! This is a bug, but it gets resolved after a laptop suspend-resume
cycle. That is, the touchpad is not detected after a reboot. However, it
is detected after the next suspend-resume.
