Andres, I think this a duplicate of Bug 290506 afterall. I realized that all the other applications work with the camera if I run them before running cheese. No, it does not. In my case (and the original reporters) the webcam does not work in any application. It is not a cheese specific problem. [Bug 361307] [NEW] Beagle Search Window Wastes and Icredible Amount of Space
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: beagle I am on jaunty (though I don't know if this is where this bug originates) and when I use the beagle search tool, the search results are spread out over a tremendous amount of white space - see attached pictures. It is very hard to visual parse the search results. They used to be much more compact. I think there is some bug in the laying out of the results. ** Affects: beagle (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Beagle Search Window Wastes and Icredible Amount of Space https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/361307 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 232170] Re: EeePC Volume and Wireless Hotkeys Do Not Function Out-Of-The-Box with Ubuntu (8.04 Hardy LTS, Intrepid Alpha 1)
I have the same problem as your Troy on my 901 when using eee-control to toggle wifi. The light goes on and off, but when it comes back on NM reports "device not ready" - You ever figure anything out? -- EeePC Volume and Wireless Hotkeys Do Not Function Out-Of-The-Box with Ubuntu (8.04 Hardy LTS, Intrepid Alpha 1) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/232170 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 275998] Re: internal mic capture very low volume when routed through pulseaudio
I can now get gnome-sound-recorder/audacity to work by going to pulse- audio-manager (paman), going to devices and selecting the properties of the alsa input device and increasing volume above 100%. It seems like the new gnome-volume-manager would give you this ability but ubuntu choose not to include for jaunty. That is too bad. -- internal mic capture very low volume when routed through pulseaudio https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275998 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 275998] Re: internal mic capture very low volume when routed through pulseaudio
Do after discovering the paman fix, I got rid of the added asound.conf file for the +50dB Mic device and the device no longer shows up in skype etc... However, I can't seem to get it from showing up in the gnome- volume-control and /var/lib/alsa/asound.state - how do I delete the 50dB MIC control from alsa so I am back at a prestine jaunty alsa configuration? -- internal mic capture very low volume when routed through pulseaudio https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275998 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 210725] Re: Please include RaLink RT2860 driver
I have eee 901 and just installed jaunty UNR and am having a lot of trouble connecting to wpa (works 1 out of every 10 attempts or so). [Bug 275998] Re: internal mic capture very low volume when routed through pulseaudio
I personally think the problem will be 'effectively fixed' as soon as ubuntu incorporates the new gnome-volume-manager that allows you to increase the volume past %100 (as you can only do now in paman). Does anyone know if there is a PPA for the new manager somewhere? -- internal mic capture very low volume when routed through pulseaudio https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275998 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
