[Bug 174407] Re: Search results invisible in amd64 version
The bug is still present in current intrepid and I can confirm that the patch 174407.debdiff indeed solves the issue. For the technically less inclined here are step-by-step instructions on how to get a working version installed. I don't know how to create a package, however. cd /tmp # change to /tmp apt-get source ebview # get ebview source sudo apt-get build-dep ebview # install necessary dependencies to compile wget http://launchpadlibrarian.net/24413436/174407.debdiff # get the patch patch -p0 <174407.debdiff # install the patch cd ebview-0.3.6/ ./configure --with-eb-conf=/etc/eb.conf make sudo make install The programm will be installed to /usr/local/ by default. Start with ebview& Should you want to remove the files again, use the following command instead of the makes above: sudo make uninstall JCS. -- Search results invisible in amd64 version https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174407 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 356508] Re: radeon 3300 locks up screen w/ any driver
I had the same problem after upgrading to jaunty: screen would remain black, even though it did work with the fglrx package driver before the upgrade. Radeon HD3300. Motherboard: M3A78-T. Th e radion driver didn't work either. Changing the BIOS settings from "Sideport" to "UDMA" (meaning part of the main memory will be used) and installing the driver from the AMD website did solve the problem. I'm not sure whether only switching to UDMA would have solved the problem. I installed the new driver first, which didn't work. I switched to UDMA, then it worked. Then I re-installed the ubuntu drivers, and it didn't work again, even though this might be another problem (I didn't now how to reverse the manual installation of the AMD drivers). I also have all four memory banks filled (8 GB). [Bug 241604] Re: Maximum zoom in Evince is 400%
It's unfortunate that this bug never gets fixed -- it's now marked as "expired", but it's still there. I encourage the developers to try to view this document showing the tariff regions for public transportation in the Frankfurt/Main region. On my 13" FullHD screen the station names are impossible to read. The maxium zoom is around 160%. https://www.rmv.de/c/de/fahrkarten/regeln/wichtige-tarifinformationen/uebersichtskarte-tarifgebiete/ https://www.rmv.de/c/fileadmin/documents/PDFs/_RMV_DE/Fahrkarten/Regeln/Tarifgesamtplan2018_594x610_171203.pdf In the past I could work around the problem by using "evince-previewer" for this task, but that loophole seems to have been closed now as well (17.10). I've installed FoxitReader now and it works great -- but it's another piece of software that needs to be updated by hand... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/241604 Title: Maximum zoom in Evince is 400% To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evince/+bug/241604/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 792549] Re: Audacity freezes when clicking on the audio timeline during playback
2.0.5 on 14.04: audacity freezes about once every 3-5 minutes and has to be manually killed. All I'm doing is starting and stopping playback. Usually I listen to a few seconds of sound, then stop (SPACESPACE). Same happens sometimes if I'm recording (R...SPACE). I believe the freeze is always when I stop the playback/recording. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/792549 Title: Audacity freezes when clicking on the audio timeline during playback To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/audacity/+bug/792549/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 792085] Re: Automatic remount of safely removed drive
For me a simple umount /media// does the trick. [Bug 792085] Re: Automatic remount of safely removed drive
The only "fix" I know is to open a terminal and to manually unmount the drive: sudo umount /media/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/792085 Title: Automatic remount of safely removed drive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/792085/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 792085] Re: Automatic remount of safely removed drive
I would like to confirm what beni wrote on 2013-05-04. I've just installed 13.04 on a zenbook with only USB 3.0 ports. "Safely Removing" USB harddisks or memory results in immediate re-mounting. Only clicking on the arrow in a Nautilus (or unmounting in a terminal "umount /media/...") will allow me to safely remove my disk. My previous computer with 12.04 did not have USB 3.0 ports and I didn't experience this problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/792085 Title: Automatic remount of safely removed drive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/792085/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
