[Bug 151544] Re: [Gutsy] GNOME takes too much time to load during system boot
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 128803 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/128803 I had the same problem and I solved it by adding my hostname to 127.0.0.1 in /etc/hosts, as mentioned above. Now it loads in less than ~10sec. It seams that this was a dns problem on my machine. thx for the solution to vampire666eng -- [Gutsy] GNOME takes too much time to load during system boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151544 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I can reproduce this on my i386 machine running Jaunty and the same version of Kompozer. -- Kompozer crashes while 'browsing' the menus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/461561 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1242079] Re: 13.10 Bluetooth: can't load firmware, may not work correctly
I think I'm affected by this too. My machine is a Thinkpad X1 Carbon. It was working on 12.04 without problems. I tried the mainline Kernel v3.12-rc6-saucy, it didn't fix it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1242079 Title: 13.10 Bluetooth: can't load firmware, may not work correctly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1242079/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1242079] Re: 13.10 Bluetooth: can't load firmware, may not work correctly
After my comment yesterday I remembered I disabled bluetooth on boot via TLP. On 12.04 this worked nice, it was disabled on boot and I could enable it if needed. Removing the line and rebooting helped, I had a bluetooth icon and I could see my paired devices. But after turning bluetooth of in the settings I'm not able to reactivate it. (dmesg show "Bluetooth: can't load firmware, may not work correctly" after each try.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1242079 Title: 13.10 Bluetooth: can't load firmware, may not work correctly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1242079/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Wow, thanks to every one helping to solve this problem. Yes, reinstalling natty and then re-re-install the firmware will work. Your Mac data should be intact after that.
