[Bug 341736] Re: Kernel panic - 2.6.24-23-server
i have similar problem. with 2.6.22-14-server it looks fine, with 2.6.24-23-server sytem hangs when clients work over nfs on nfs-shares. the hotfix was to return to old kernel used before upgrade from 6.10 LTS to 8.04 LTS. -- syslog Apr 8 18:21:15 192.168.1.43 mountd[5473]: /nfs4/mnt-pole and /nfs4/mnt-pole have same filehandle for 192.168.1.134, using first Apr 8 18:21:15 192.168.1.43 mountd[5473]: /nfs4/mnt-pole and /nfs4/mnt-pole have same filehandle for 192.168.1.134, using first Apr 8 18:22:22 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7380.152897] nfs4_cb: server 192.168.1.147 not responding, timed out Apr 8 18:22:22 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7380.152897] nfs4_cb: server 192.168.1.147 not responding, timed out Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.524500] Unable to handle kernel paging request at RIP: Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.524500] Unable to handle kernel paging request at RIP: Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.524528] [kmem_cache_alloc_node+0x4c/0xa0] kmem_cache_alloc_node+0x4c/0xa0 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.524528] [kmem_cache_alloc_node+0x4c/0xa0] kmem_cache_alloc_node+0x4c/0xa0 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.524672] PGD f0883067 PUD 0 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.524672] PGD f0883067 PUD 0 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.524724] Oops: [1] SMP Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.524724] Oops: [1] SMP Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.524777] CPU 1 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.524777] CPU 1 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.524822] Modules linked in: nfsd auth_rpcgss exportfs ipv6 xfs w83627hf w83781d hwmon_vid parport_pc lp parport nfs lockd nfs_acl sunrpc container amd_rng button serio_raw i2c_amd756 evdev i2c_amd8111 k8temp shpchp pci_hotplug i2c_core psmouse pcspkr ext3 jbd mbcache usbhid hid st sr_mod cdrom osst ch sg sd_mod pata_amd 3w_9xxx aic7xxx scsi_transport_spi tg3 ehci_hcd ohci_hcd uhci_hcd pata_acpi sata_sil ata_generic usbcore libata scsi_mod raid10 raid456 async_xor async_memcpy async_tx xor raid1 raid0 multipath linear md_mod dm_mirror dm_snapshot dm_mod thermal processor fan fbcon tileblit font bitblit softcursor Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.524822] Modules linked in: nfsd auth_rpcgss exportfs ipv6 xfs w83627hf w83781d hwmon_vid parport_pc lp parport nfs lockd nfs_acl sunrpc container amd_rng button serio_raw i2c_amd756 evdev i2c_amd8111 k8temp shpchp pci_hotplug i2c_core psmouse pcspkr ext3 jbd mbcache usbhid hid st sr_mod cdrom osst ch sg sd_mod pata_amd 3w_9xxx aic7xxx scsi_transport_spi tg3 ehci_hcd ohci_hcd uhci_hcd pata_acpi sata_sil ata_generic usbcore libata scsi_mod raid10 raid456 async_xor async_memcpy async_txxor raid1 raid0 multipath linear md_mod dm_mirror dm_snapshot dm_mod thermal processor fan fbcon tileblit font bitblit softcursor Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525465] Pid: 5463, comm: nfsd Not tainted 2.6.24-23-server #1 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525465] Pid: 5463, comm: nfsd Not tainted 2.6.24-23-server #1 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525526] RIP: 0010:[kmem_cache_alloc_node+0x4c/0xa0] [kmem_cache_alloc_node+0x4c/0xa0] kmem_cache_alloc_node+0x4c/0xa0 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525526] RIP: 0010:[kmem_cache_alloc_node+0x4c/0xa0] [kmem_cache_alloc_node+0x4c/0xa0] kmem_cache_alloc_node+0x4c/0xa0 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525632] RSP: 0018:8100f2c2dc00 EFLAGS: 00010046 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525632] RSP: 0018:8100f2c2dc00 EFLAGS: 00010046 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525689] RAX: RBX: RCX: 803ea19e Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525689] RAX: RBX: RCX: 803ea19e Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525754] RDX: RSI: 00d0 RDI: 80612088 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525754] RDX: RSI: 00d0 RDI: 80612088 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525819] RBP: 810001029aa0 R08: 0001 R09: Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525819] RBP: 810001029aa0 R08: 0001 R09: Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525883] R10: R11: R12: 0286 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525883] R10: R11: R12: 0286 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525947] R13: 00d0 R14: 80612088 R15: 0001 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.525947] R13: 00d0 R14: 80612088 R15: 0001 Apr 8 18:22:47 192.168.1.43 kernel: [ 7405.526011] FS: 7f52dde4f6e0() GS:8100f4401700() knlGS:0
