[Bug 245521] [NEW] urls copied from adress bar in firefox-3.0 missing %20
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.0 In its address bar firefox replaces "%20" with " " which is supposed to increase readability. However, when I copy and paste an url from the address bar, the spaces are not replaces with "%20" again making the pasted url useless. People in #firefox on irc.mozilla.com say their version does in fact put %20 back when copying & pasting the url. i.e.: opening "http://example.com/url%20with%20space.html"; will show as "http://example.com/url with space.html" and copying and pasting the latter will yield "http://example.com/url with space.html" instead of the expected "http://example.com/url%20with%20space.html";. What I want it one of two things: either make FF3 stop replacing %20 with " " as I can easily parse %20 et al in head or make it modify the copied text (or modify the text before copying) so that the clipboard contains a valid and usable url. This is FF3 version Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061015 Firefox/3.0 from the hardy package. I don't use ctrl+c to copy, I just mark the text and paste via middlemouse. ** Affects: firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- urls copied from adress bar in firefox-3.0 missing %20 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/245521 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 245521] Re: urls copied from adress bar in firefox-3.0 missing %20
"Try with a new profile" I did exactly that: I created a new profile and then directly entered "http://example.com/url%20with%20spaces.html"; into the address bar, which was then displayed as "http://example.com/url with spaces.html". Copying and pasting this url into xchat or gvim yielded "http://example.com/url with spaces.html" again. "Be specific" I think I have been specific :) "Use the terminal" This is what I am doing, in order to catch any messages. However, there are no messages from firefox. "Specific Websites" This issue is not related to specific websites. "Crashes" and "Obtain a backtrace from an apport crash report (using gdb)" Firefox does not crash. -- urls copied from adress bar in firefox-3.0 missing %20 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/245521 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 301636] Re: alltray does not close gnome-terminal to tray
I see the same behavior with firefox: when first launching "alltray firefox -no-remote -P default" I see firefox's icon in the tray. Once I click it, firefox's window is displayed and a button is added to the Window List on my panel. This button then remains regardless of the state of its window: shown, minimized, closed to tray. [Bug 301852] [NEW] bashdb should not depend on emacsen-common, instead it recommend
Public bug reported: In intrepid package bashdb depends on bash (>= 3.1) and emacsen-common. However, none of the .el scripts in the package seem to be needed for bashdb to run normally. I installed the package and deleted the following files: /usr/lib/emacsen-common/packages/install/bashdb /usr/lib/emacsen-common/packages/remove/bashdb /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50bashdb.el /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/bashdb/bashdb.el After that, bashdb still worked as expected. Public bug reported: I hide sonata by either clicking the close button of the window or the tray icon.
