[Bug 284408] Re: r3xx Hardware does not work with fglrx [EPR#257839]
Thanks. I had major problems with graphics in my Kubuntu Jaunty (alpha4) and Radeon X 700 Pro on PCI Express. No OpenGL apps (ok - games mostlly :) )were working as in Interpid. This Workaround solved my issues :) -- r3xx Hardware does not work with fglrx [EPR#257839] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/284408 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 573318] Re: mysql server will not start
I've fixed this issue for my case. I have kubuntu 12.04 (64-bit) and tried to install airtime. And it was failing. As I'm newbie I've spent few hours searching for a cause. in log file i found this: createdb: database creation failed: ERROR: new encoding (UTF8) is incompatible with the encoding of the template database (SQL_ASCII) HINT: Use the same encoding as in the template database, or use template0 as template. Next two hours looking for a right solution (of many I've found), and thanks to this: http://askubuntu.com/questions/20880/how-do-i-create-a-unicode-databases-in-postgresql-8-4 Ive entered in terminal: sudo pg_dropcluster --stop 9.1 main sudo pg_createcluster --locale=en_US.utf8 --start 9.1 main And works fine 4 me :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/573318 Title: mysql server will not start To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mysql-server/+bug/573318/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 733862] Re: Gadu Gadu situation
I don't know, why there is so much hassle over this IM. Its quite fresh, and need some polish, like kopete's skype support, Gadu Gadu contacts export/import, etc. New users wont have such a problems finding "kadu" - an gadu-gadu open Linux client, decent, reminds Gadu itself. Simple as hell. Not saying having fully working multi protocol IM with KDE would be great, but patience... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/733862 Title: Gadu Gadu situation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/telepathy-haze/+bug/733862/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1063969] Re: NVIDIA does not work with framebuffer drivers
Same on my Samsung rv511, Kubuntu 12.10 64bit and nvidia 315m, but had that issue in 12.04 with beta nvidia drivers. apart from a boot screen and additional drivers in system settings still convincing me that the driver isn't in use, while it is, not much of a issue for me. System itself seems to work ok with effects. But hours spend on forums trying to solve it... [Bug 1002736] Re: [xorg-edgers] Synaptics driver crashes KDE touchpad control module
Works for me as well, Thanks a lot Gents. I simply was reading all those bugs and couldn't figure out that it stil doesn't work. Crashes, and no tapping... Well, read this bug report 10 times... (ok, less, but still) and I figured out it isn't in my repo in Kubuntu 12.10 64, with all multiverse etc enabled. I've installed package as mentioned in comment above... And it made my day :) Thanks once again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002736 Title: [xorg-edgers] Synaptics driver crashes KDE touchpad control module To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/synaptiks/+bug/1002736/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
