[Bug 503300] [NEW] Ubuntu One crashes while updating files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client This is related to Bug #502717 and Bug #502900. I don't know how to link this report to them. Package version is 1.0.2 ubuntu2. The sync daemon has been working for hours (>8) using 80-100% CPU, but almost no network traffic. And I went to sleep. When I came back the next morning, the "!" mark was on the icon and when I clicked on it crashed. So, I am not sure the problem is not in the daemon instead, but have no other clue. The initial subscription and upload of 500MB of files went alright a couple weeks ago. I have subscribed to the 50GB and now no way to update. I was trying to add/update 15 GB: is UbuntuOne unable to handle the load? One last info: if memory serves there was a dialog box indicating progress of sync operations the first time. Now on all attemps I only have the icon and the system monitor to show the sync daemon is supposed to be working hard (80-90%). Have reinstalled all UbuntuOne packages. I have seen in another report that a version 1.0.3 was made available, but have not succeeded in getting to it. Please; What should I do next? [Bug 503300] Re: Ubuntu One crashes while updating files
After 12 hours, directory structure has been created alright online in U1. But only a few files transfered. The U1 icon shows a cross. I loaded Nautilus and click connect. The icon shows a cloud for a few minutes, then a '!'. I see in Bug #502717 that files with invalid utf-8 name could be the cause of the crash in my former report, and that this has been reported in Bug #368626. Fair enough; but how do I solve this. Is there a tool to help me spot those file and correct their names? -- Ubuntu One crashes while updating files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/503300 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 502900] [NEW] UbuntuOne crashes during sync when clic on icon
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client Setup for UbuntuOne is Manual mode. I have reinstalled all Ubuntu One packages from Synaptic and added the command line tools as well, before this bug. I previously reported bug #502717 "UbuntuOne crashes during copying of large volume of files between USB flash and disk drive". Ubuntu One will not connect after those problems. Had to restart computer. [Bug 502900] Re: UbuntuOne crashes during sync when clic on icon
Contrary to what I said, and contrary to the other bug reported, after launching UbuntuOne once again during the same session, it reconnects automatically and starts sync files update. I have 15 GB of new files and updates to upload. Will see the outcome... later on. Note: Nautilus doesn't seem to know the sync is on, as the "connect" button is displayed when viewing the Ubuntu One directory. I have decided not to touch any button or icon in relation with Ubuntu One before the sync is done (or crashes...). [Bug 502900] Re: UbuntuOne crashes during sync when clic on icon
8 hours later, nothing to see on U1 side really.. >From the system monitor I can see that CPU has been under constant load >80-100% during all that time. Process ubuntuone-syncdaemon is taking 90-100% of CPU (2). Network traffic close to nothing. RAM usage 68%, 1.3 GB / 2 GB. Swap file 0.5% of 5 GB. This is an Atom based netbook running Karmic unr. I am going to stop the game and restart the system. -- UbuntuOne crashes during sync when clic on icon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/502900 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
