I've been trying to diagnose an annoying display problem with my Radeon
Mobility 7500c. I have a bug open at Freedesktop.org, but it just
occurred to me today to consider compositing as a factor along with the
driver.

I wonder if there's some unfriendly interaction between compositing
software and some Radeon Mobility chipsets?
I turned off compositing earlier (at least, I think it's off now), and
my display seems better so far. It's too early to say for sure,
unfortunately.
I thought it might be helpful to cross post this information if the
issues are indeed related. I hope this may be of use.
