[Bug 66566] Inconsistent shortcuts for new tab

2006-10-17 Thread dré
Public bug reported:

There are currently too many shortcuts when opening a link in a new tab:

 - location bar: +
 - GO button: + click
 - search bar: +
 - SEARCH button + click
 - links: + click
 - menu bar: + click
 - BACKWARD/FORWARD button: + click

This is one of the reasons I'm keeping with Opera. There it is always
the shift key and I have to remember only one key.

Thanks for reading!

[Bug 51537] Re: Wrong handling of volume buttons on IBM Thinkpad notebooks

2006-10-20 Thread dré
I can confirm this on my T42p running up to date Edgy. Any ideas or
workarounds? I'd love to provide additional information to fix this in
Edgy.

[Bug 38272] Re: option EmulateWheelTimeout not working

2006-10-10 Thread dré
I've installed latest Edgy Beta and the Trackpoint on my Thinkpad T42p
wasn't working. (The Touchpad worked ferfectly.) After inserting the
three lines mentioned above

   Option "EmulateWheel" "yes"
   Option "EmulateWheelButton" "2"
   Option "EmulateWheelTimeout" "200"

it worked perfectly. I can scroll by holding the middle button and can
close tabs in FF by clicking the middle button.

Any chance to make this work out of the box?

Are other packages affected that are responsible for the Trackpoint
configuration?

Thanks!

[Bug 65524] [edgy] can't type letters with acu te accents (like á, é) with german keyboar d layout

2006-10-11 Thread dré
Public bug reported:

When I type the accent key on my keyboard the accent gets printed
instantly instead of applying to the next letter. So when I try to type
my name "André" -> "Andr´e" is written.

This worked in previous releases. With the current behaviour I'm unable
to type my name without copying an "é" from somewhere. Maybe there's a
simple workaround but I didn't find any.

This will mess up a lot people from Europe I guess.

Thanks for reading!

[Bug 65619] [edgy] switching theme doesn't work

2006-10-11 Thread dré
Public bug reported:

I'm unable to switch from the human theme to another theme.

Steps to reproduce:

- Human (don't know if that matters) theme is selected
- select a different theme
- restart FF
- theme doesn't change (old theme is still selected in the Themes dialog)

FF-Version: 2.0RC2 (latest update)

I didn't have this problem with previous versions in Edgy.

Thanks!
