[Bug 1296288] Re: pcscd crashes when disconnecting / reconnecting USB device

2015-01-22 Thread disto2
Hi, this bug affects me too since I'am using Ubuntu 14.04
I can confirm the solution posted by Wolf Pichler.
But my problem is that in Ubuntu 14.04 some Packages depends on libusb1.0-0 in
Version 2:1.0.17-1ubuntu2.
So in my case I can't use the old version libusb-1.0-0_1.0.9~rc3-2ubuntu1.

After I installed the older version suggested by Wolf it worked without
any problems. I was able to stop the deamon without getting an error.
And it was also possible to unplug the card reader without any error
message. Then I did an apt-get upgrade und reinstalled the newer
version. From that moment the errors went back. So stopping the deamon
or unplugging the device will bring the error.

It is possible as described erlier to manually start the deamon but in
my household the other users aren't sudoers but have to work with the
card reader. So this is not a solution.

My device is a REINERSCT Cyberjack RFID Standard.

In my case the error appears spodaric after the system has startet.
Sometimes the error appears and sometimes not.

best regards

dirk

[Bug 1069184] Re: wrong inormation about the diskspace in the syseminformation

2012-10-22 Thread disto2
** Description changed:

In the systems information overview the diskspace is not shown correctly.
There are shown 3,2 TB of diskspace, which could not be true.
The system harddisk is about 64 GB (SSD). There are also 2 other harddisks
installed. One with 500 GB and the other has 250 GB. So even if i summerize all
together it wont be 3,2 TB at all.
-
- Could it be a bug? Or is it because the sda is a solid state disk?

** Summary changed:

- wrong inormation about the diskspace in the syseminformation
+ wrong information about the diskspace in the gnome-control-center

[Bug 1069184] Re: wrong information about the diskspace in the gnome-control-center

2012-10-23 Thread disto2
I have some more information for you regarding to the bug.
Maybe that's important for you.
Although the home partition is located on sda2,
my folders like pictures, videos, documents etc. are outsourced to sdc2.
I've done this by mounting it with the bind option in \etc\fstab.
The real destiniation of /home/user/pictures is /mnt/daten/user/pictures

I've done this, because the sda is a fast SSD with only 64 GB of space.
The sdc is a slower HDD but has 500 GB of diskspace.

best regards
