I used 3 cd-rw from 2 different manufacturers on 2 computers (ubuntu 10.04.1) with same result. I/O errors were detectet when reading was almost done. Sorry, but it seems the kernels 4.15.0-38 in bionic-updates and in bionic-proposed are the same. I have tested it already (#57), the bug is in place.
