[Bug 104514] Re: Kpilot's addressbook conduit erroniously reports confilcts
I *probably* am, although I can's say for sure since I'm not using kpilot anymore. I switched back over to gnome so I'm using gnome-pilot (or whatever it is) and I'm synching with evolution. If I'm the only one that has experienced this problem then we might as well just let it go, since I'm pretty content with Evolution and gnome right now. Otherwise if there are others (and they chime in here) then I'll help troubleshoot. -- Kpilot's addressbook conduit erroniously reports confilcts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104514 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a bug contact for kdepim in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 104514] Kpilot's addressbook conduit erroniously reports confilcts
Public bug reported: Everything syncs fine except for the address book. *Every* time I try to sync, I get a message that address book records have been altered both on the PC and the PDA. It asks me, for all 300 something records to say whether I want the PC value or handheld value to override. This happens even if I configure the address book conduit in kpilot to have handheld values override when there's a conflict, or to have PC values override when there's a conflict. Looking in the directory where the address book is kept. I see that -- in addition to the .vcf address book file -- there's a "lock" directory. After various synchs, I also get .vcf_01, .vcf_02 etc files. I've tried changing permissions on the vcf file to 666, and I've tried removing the "lock" directory... but to no avail. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Kpilot's addressbook conduit erroniously reports confilcts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104514 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 104514] Re: Kpilot's addressbook conduit erroniously reports confilcts
This might be a problem with KDEs Kontact. The problem goes away when I set KDE Kontact's Address book resource (the vcf file) to be "read only". -- Kpilot's addressbook conduit erroniously reports confilcts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104514 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 410887] Re: alsa-mixer.c: Your kernel driver is broken: it reports a volume range from 18.00 dB to 18.00 dB which makes no sense
I get the same error in /var/log/messages others have reported: Jan 16 08:08:40 dave-desktop pulseaudio[2072]: alsa-mixer.c: Your kernel driver is broken: it reports a volume range from 18.00 dB to 18.00 dB which makes no sense. Jan 16 08:08:43 dave-desktop pulseaudio[2072]: last message repeated 6 times I use fluxbox and when my system starts up sound is not present. Sound does seem to work fine when I use gnome. In fluxbox, changing the levels using alsamixer doesn't fix the problem. However, if I run gnome-volume-control, the checkbox there indicates the sound is muted. I can then unmute it and then I can get sound and change levels with alsamixer. (There is no indication of the muted status of the system in alsamixer when I first run it. Can't say whether this problem is related to the bug above, but I thought I'd report it in case it is. (This new pulseaudio thing is still a mystery to me.) (Also, by the way, my system freezes seemingly randomly, but this is probably an X problem and unrelated to audio.) -- alsa-mixer.c: Your kernel driver is broken: it reports a volume range from 18.00 dB to 18.00 dB which makes no sense https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/410887 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
