[Bug 243664] Re: Another FF3 Freeze when very overloaded
I have similar problems. I have a bunch of tabs open as well as 4 to 6 firefox windows open with 14 or more tabs open in each firefox. This machine worked perfectly with Ubuntu 8.04 and Firefox 3.0.4 and I never had any problems except for firefox just closing all windows after it had run for 5 or 6 days. I would just restart firefox and restore the session. However since I updated to Ubuntu 8.10, same machine, same hardware memory etc. Firefox locks up and you cannot do anything but 'killall -I firefox' and then restart it. But worse yet is that after firefox is running for more than 10 or so hours it starts to slow down and then again the only way to fix it is to killall. I have checked other applications and they all work and are unaffected, this only seems to happen with firefox. I do find it strange that it is so much worse in Ubuntu 8.10. [Bug 245044] Re: totemwontplay anything
This software does not play anything. It opens it then does nothing. I noticed the other day if I leave it for 10 minutes it really is playing it but so slow that 10 minutes equals 1 second. I have reinstalled Ubuntu 3 times nothing fixes it. I have Run Ubuntu in Live mode, still nothing. I loaded Ubuntu on 3 new machines, clean hard drives, it still does the same thing. v8.04 and v8.10. What is up???. All machines have tested perfectly for hardware. I loaded Windows XP on all machines after the Ubuntu and the video and audio play perfectly...so it is not a hardware issue. One machine is even a laptop. Ideas? I really love Ubuntu and would love it more if it played my movies and MP3s. I find that this bug continues to exist in isc-dhcpd-4.2.4. Also, it affects not only HMAC-SHA256, but HMAC-SHA{1,224,256,384,512}. The only working algorithm is HMAC-MD5, which we don't want to use for obvious reasons. If another algorithm is specified, the server prints to the syslog that it is "Unable to create tsec structure for %s", and all future DNS updates are sent only unauthenticated, and are not retried after being refused. It no longer reports "bad DNS key", but it does warn that the tsec is missing each time it attempts an update. ** Tags removed: natty ** Tags added: saucy ** Changed in: isc-dhcp (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/797356 Title: dhcp server does not support HMAC-SHA256 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/isc-dhcp/+bug/797356/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
