[Bug 221735] Re: iwl3945 modul in 2.6.24-16 doesn't work
After a complete new installation (32bit) the wlan driver is very broken. in the dmesg are the follow lines [ 1032.077181] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready [ 345.070792] iwl3945: Error sending REPLY_SCAN_ABORT_CMD: time out after 500ms. Sometimes it works. In this second i put the networkcable in the ethernet jacket (gigabit ethernet) and 2-3 seconds later, the gnome manager can find wlan ap's. I'm not sure but there couldn't be something right with the iwl3945 modul. -- iwl3945 modul in 2.6.24-16 doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221735 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 221735] [NEW] 3945
Public bug reported: After Upgrade to 8.04 (from 7.10) the kernel packet 2.6.24-16-generic was installed. But with this one the wlan card does not work. the modul iwl3945 is loaded but it doesn't work. If i start up an older kernel version for example the 2.6.20-16-generic then the modul ipw3945 is loaded and it works fine. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- 3945 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/221735 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1431931] Re: T450s thinkpad physical buttons not configured properly
Hey jack tavares , i had the same problem with my T450S. I just tested the new Ubuntu 15.04 Beta2 and there the Trackpoint Keys are working perfect. left clicking and right clicking and scrolling by pressing the middle button and move the trackpoint is working out of the box. BUT, even though i disabled the touchpad by the bios setting it is working nevertheless under Ubuntu 15.04 Beta 2 . Magic ;). I think it is just a soft switch inside the BIOS settings, and the module is not recognizing this setting inside the bios. [Bug 1440032] [NEW] nm-applet is missing the Sierra EM7345 4G LTE
Public bug reported: The current system Ubuntu 15.04 Beta2 (up2date) is missing the nm-applet after restarting the system. It might be a problem with the Sierra EM7345 module?! After the new install of Ubuntu 15.04 Beta2 i saw the Sierra for one or two times inside the nm-applet and i could create a mobile-data connection over HSDPA/UMTS/LTE. But just for this time. Now, after some regular updates, the Sierra Card is not accessable inside the nm-applet menu for creating a new mobile data connection, the old connection profil is missing too. The Sierra EM7345 was also named as cdc-wdm not by name. [Bug 1440032] Re: nm-applet is missing the Sierra EM7345 4G LTE
I updated the BIOS to the latest Version 1.16 and still nothing has changed. Randomly after reboot the card is working without a problem, and after standby or another reboot it isn't. Another T450s (1 week old) has the same problem. Installed BIOS version was 1.14, we updated to 1.16 and the card isn't working at all. The card has the same usb id. Both systems are running Ubuntu 15.04. Same mobile provider (T-Mobile). After a cold boot, the modemanager is asking for the SIM pin at the login screen :-/ entering the pin isn't working because of the missing permissions at this point. After cancel the SIM pin window and enter the login password, you have to enter the password for sudo enable the mobile datacard. very strange! [Bug 1440032] Re: nm-applet is missing the Sierra EM7345 4G LTE
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: The current system Ubuntu 15.04 Beta2 (up2date) is missing the nm-applet after restarting the system. [Bug 1488719] Re: dmesg shows "[drm:gen8_irq_handler [i915]] *ERROR* The master control interrupt lied (SDE)!"
I'm not sure, but sometimes you can cheat with your system. Example: 1.) working with your dual monitor 2.) lock your desktop (windows key and l for example) 3.) you see both external monitors locked 4.) wait sometime and they go to power safe mode 5.) coming back, press a key and see that only one monitor is available...the other one is still in power safe mode 6.) press STRG+ALT and 2 (or 3 or any other number with a terminal assigned) 7.) see a lot of drm:gen8_irq_handler error messages 8.) wait a moment and the other monitor which was/is in power safe mode will power up and showing up the same errors 9.) now yo back to your graphical UI (most of times STRG+ALT + 7) 10.) you might see that both screens are working again in dual mode... I did this now for a lot of times (because setting the display settings up again sucks) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1488719 Title: dmesg shows "[drm:gen8_irq_handler [i915]] *ERROR* The master control interrupt lied (SDE)!"
