[Bug 158254] connection problem with kppp
Public bug reported: I found this in 7.04 and 7.10 dist. I use the command: - sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf to find modem (56k) (is there a GUI way to configurate modem?). Then, I choose it for my connection. My connection works. I try with google: google's icon (the G) appears in browser's URL textbox, but there a connection error. I try with alot of sites, but it is the same. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- connection problem with kppp https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/158254 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 995456] Re: Duplicate ACPI video bus devices for the same VGA controller
Thanks for you help, I update my BIOS to A29: command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date output: A29 06/04/2013 File dmesg contains the same text: [Firmware Bug]: ACPI: BIOS _OSI(Linux) query ignored ... [Firmware Bug]: Duplicate ACPI video bus devices for the same VGA controller, please try module parameter "video.allow_duplicates=1"if the current driver doesn't work. I also boot again with version 13.04 I burn yesterday on USB and there is the same result. But I don't have problem: video works ok and webcam too. When I start using Ubuntu, with 11.10 version, I supposed this message was important to be known and resolved, but I never had problem. So, maybe this is not a real bug and you can close it. In that case, sorry I waste your time and thanks for your patience. I attach dmesg of Ubuntu 13.04 ** Attachment added: "Ubuntu 13.04 dmesg file" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/995456/+attachment/3939707/+files/dmesg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/995456 Title: Duplicate ACPI video bus devices for the same VGA controller To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/995456/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1592459] Re: Nautilus crash clicking 2 time on launcher icon
When I installed Ubuntu 16.04 I used Unity Tweak Tool to change some behaviors of Unity. Today I try to restore all pre-defined values and reboot. Unity top-bar and left-bar did not appear anymore. Then as suggested here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/449845/problems-after-upgrading-to-14-04 -only-background-and-pointer-after-login/481620#481620 I try "Fix 5 - Clearing Unity" dconf reset -f /org/compiz/ setsid unity And now everything works again. I suppose that the problem is the option "Minimize single window applications on click". How that could be compatible with the normal behavior that if you have 2 opened windows of the same program, clicking on left-bar show 2 little windows that permit to select what you want to use?
