[Bug 198841] Re: PKCS #12 Error Importing Client Certificates
Same probleme here. running Ubuntu Hardy 64 I'll try to do a step by step instructions as requiered: opened firefox3, went to edit menu, clicked on advanced tab, encryption tab, and view certificates. Certificate manager window opened. clicked on import File name to restore window opened browse to pkcs12 file clicked on open--> error box: "alert: Failed to restore the PKCS #12 file for unknown reasons." the certificate doesn't show up in the certificate list Instead it should ask for the certificate password, then import the certificate if the password typed was correct. if the password was incorrect it shows the error box: "alert: Failed to restore the PKCS #12 file for unknown reasons." and nothing is done, (verified on Firefox 3 under XP and Vista) Under Ubuntu Hardy, we are not even asked the certificate password, it's like this step is missing and of course the importation is rejected. It is indeed a serious bug. Is this bug fixed in Ubuntu Trusty 64 (LTS!) ? I'am still unable to send emails with their attachments from simple scan. Thunderbird open up a new message but, but nothing is attached to it. [Bug 557499] Re: Intersil ISL3886 causes lock ups in Ubuntu 10.04
Hello I am affected by this bug, How can I help ? I would also like to add, that locks up only happen during heavy network activity. For instance - Multiple download in Firefox - File Transfer with other computers of my LAN In my case everyday web browsing and download will *not* make my Intersil ISL3886 based wifi card freeze my computer. Only high data rates will. As above, I just have to turn my Intersil ISL3886 based wifi card off and use Ethernet instead and my computer will never freeze again. Again, I would happily provide more info about my system and configuration. Although I am afraid testing upstream kernel is not possible. -- Intersil ISL3886 causes lock ups in Ubuntu 10.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/557499 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 616947] [NEW] Ubuntu 10.04 freezes on heavy Wifi network load using
Public bug reported: Ubuntu freezes during heavy *wifi* network activity and/or when transfer rate gets high. Gnome freezes, screen freezes, keyboard get unresponsive, network traffic is stopped, computer doesn't respond to ping, I can't ssh it, etc. Only solution is a hard reset. It happens for instance when: - Download multiple files in Firefox - Transferring files with other computers of my LAN - backing up files over the network to a remote computer. Low/moderate network activity works fine, for instance web browsing and keeping concurrent downloads to 1 or 2 at a time and as long transfer rate stay low my Ubuntu will never freeze. If I switch to ethernet only, Ubuntu never freezes no matter what stress the network is put under.
