[Bug 244353] Re: [ooo-build] OpenOffice exports PDF with arabic numerals instead of regular numbers
I have the same type of problem on Ubuntu 9.04 (64-bit) with the Ubuntu OpenOffice (3.0.1). Upon PDF export, some numeric characters in Math equations are replaced, especially in sub and superscripts. Using a colleague's OpenOffice 3.1.0 on Windows XP, no PDF export problem was encountered and the math looks normal. For now, I will use this method to generate PDF, while waiting that hopefully the problem will be solved in Ubuntu OpenOffice 3.1.1 which appears to be included in the upcoming Ubuntu 9.10. While looking for a solution to the problem, I had the impression that it is mostly 64-bit Linux users who encounter this problem. [Bug 804943] Re: blcr kernel module failed to build with kernel 3.0 : configure: error: --with-linux argument '3.0-x' is neither a kernel version string nor a full path
I have followed Graham Inggs advice, and removed the 'blcr-dkms' package. No other packages seemed to depend on it on my system. I have thus far encountered no problems after removal of said package (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64bit) You will probably not see me again on this Launchpad bug page, as Ubuntu won't send me here anymore on the next update. [Bug 804943] Re: blcr kernel module failed to build with kernel 3.0 : configure: error: --with-linux argument '3.0-x' is neither a kernel version string nor a full path
If the patch works, when will it be distributed to normal users (i.e. those who do not know how to compile kernels themselves) via the Ubuntu upgrade manager? I received an software update today (which included a kernel update), and the bclr error message was still there (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit, vanilla, but with many software packages installed). The Ubuntu error handling mechanism redirected me (again) to this Launchpad page. For the rest my system is mostly fine. [Bug 804943] Re: blcr kernel module failed to build with kernel 3.0 : configure: error: --with-linux argument '3.0-x' is neither a kernel version string nor a full path
During a new auto-upgrade (after vacation, on 64-bit Precise) I actually received the bclr-related error message twice. For the rest my system is working just fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/804943 Title: blcr kernel module failed to build with kernel 3.0 : configure: error: --with-linux argument '3.0-x' is neither a kernel version string nor a full path To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/blcr/+bug/804943/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

In spite of the fix having been committed (Rubens, 2012-06-06), the bug still shows up when doing the latest (standard, automated) kernel upgrade (buntu 12.04 LTS, 64 bit) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/804943 Title: blcr kernel module failed to build with kernel 3.0 : configure: error: --with-linux argument '3.0-x' is neither a kernel version string nor a full path To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/blcr/+bug/804943/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Bug happened to me while doing a regular update using Update Manager.
