[Bug 1574645] [NEW] firefox launching at start up can't purge

2016-04-25 Thread checoimg
Public bug reported:

My problem is simple. Firefox is launching by itself at startup. I can't
disable this and if I try to purge it then it tries to also uninstall
MATE desktop WTF ??!!

sudo apt-get purge firefox && sudo apt-get install -y firefox
[sudo] password for mateuser:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  firefox* ubuntu-mate-core* ubuntu-mate-desktop*
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 3 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
After this operation, 107 MB disk space will be freed.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n] n
Abort.

I don't get what's happening here, Firefox is not part of a DE. I was
considering to donate to the project but with this FOSS radical attitude
I wouldn't.

[Bug 1451083] Re: scanf

2015-08-13 Thread checoimg
The problem was on what I was taught in how to use scanf. My professor
instructed that we use a newline character (\n) in the format and GCC
doesn't work like that anymore. a Simple scanf('%d", &var); does the
trick

[Bug 247433] Re: double-finger scroll and double-finger tapping entangled in synaptics

2015-06-30 Thread checoimg
This is still a bug. It would easily fixed if an option to disable two-
finger right click can be disabled. Which in my humble opinion is just a
duplicated functionality, touchpads already have buttons for left and
rich click. The only thing missing in a touchpad is a scrolling wheel.

[Bug 247433] Re: double-finger scroll and double-finger tapping entangled in synaptics

2015-06-30 Thread checoimg
I fixed this with Synclient in the terminal :

synclient TapButton2=0;

And then added to "sudo gedit /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf"
 :

Section "InputClass"
Identifier "Default clickpad buttons"
MatchDriver "synaptics"
Option "TapButton2" "0"
EndSection

Still have to reboot and see if that works

Too late but thanks. I downloaded 14.04 and made a clean install. The
only way to reproduce this is to make a clean install of 13.10 and
upgrading. But I made this installation from an SD card made with the
KDE USB creator. Do you think it will be useful to do the test ?
