[Bug 267260] Re: Review dependences
I have just had this problem with an auto update to sun java in the past few days. The plugin still lists ff as a required package and hence was trying to install it. I seem to have got round it by adding the repos that eaglescreen lists above. I don't understand why this package has just appeared as an update still with this problem when the bug and comments above seem to be from almost a month ago. [Bug 89586] partitioning fails during install (herd 5 kub alt)
Public bug reported: I just tried installing herd 5 using the alternate cd but couldn't get past the partition stage. My drive has a win ntfs partition, then a fat32 and then I had let the edgy install use the remaing space and it created a swap and /. I deleted these before trying herd 5 so there was just freespace at the end of the drive. At the partitioning stage of the install I got 4 choices, the first was something about a cd? which I didn't understand then three 'guided' options, there was no manual option that I could see. I tried the 'guided use free space' option but it just goes to a red screen with a message about there being no root partition allocated. There are two buttons, continue and go back, IIRC. Clicking either just reloads the red warning screen so I had to restart and abandon install. I checked the md5sum of both the iso and the burnt cd and they were fine. I was trying to install on my laptop (fujitsu-siemens pi1505) that has a sata disk but this wasn't a problem when I installed edgy. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- partitioning fails during install (herd 5 kub alt) https://launchpad.net/bugs/89586 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 350117] Re: Dragon Player gives static instead of soundtrack with certain codec
I am having the same problem with Dragon player in 9.10. flv files are not associated with dragon player but when opened the video plays but the sound is just static noise. -- Dragon Player gives static instead of soundtrack with certain codec https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/350117 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 42965] Re: Can't add a printer in KDE: parser error?
Just to add that I have had the same problem with an Epson r220. I haven't tried the foomatic-cleanup yet. Just did a clean install the other so will test again. On previous dapper pre-release install I followed someone's advice to manually navigate to folder instead which worked but the resulting performance through kdeprint was appaling so I wasn't sure whether I had actually got the right driver in the end. I will be interested to see whether this method produces a better result. -- Can't add a printer in KDE: parser error? https://launchpad.net/bugs/42965 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 635698] Re: encrypted home-folder not unlocked when login
I just reinstalled and updated to the proposed lxdm. It seems to work fine. It mounts my encrypted home and it auto mounted a usb pen with no problems. -- encrypted home-folder not unlocked when login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/635698 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
