In bug #238208 Maxim, who did the driver for R5C592 told me that's very unlikely to write a driver for this device: Maxim Levitsky: "It is very unlikely that I do the driver for that device, because I suspect that this is very different device. Maybe I buy a laptop with this device sometime in future." https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/238208/comments/87 So I open this new bug/wishlist for this driver. -- Need MemoryStick driver for Ricoh Co Ltd Device e230 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/626823 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 655078] Re: Beta 10.10 Nvidia update broke Sony Vaio VPCF136FM installation
Hi, I am using a SONY VPCF11M1E (Nvidia GT330M). Installing Ubuntu 10.10 (32 bit) worked with a completly wrong resolution. Then choose to install the hardware drivers (version 260.19) and I got the same issues as above: Blank screen with cursor blinking at the left top of the screen. Not possible to choose another login screen, pressing the power button doesn't shutdown (you have to hold it up for 4 seconds to halt the PC) I had to revert to the nvidia driver version 256.53 to make it work again. The lines in the xorg.conf for customEDID is not necessary anymore from version 2.56. It's a pity that this combination (Nvidia GT330M + FullHD 1920x1080) is not yet resolved as it was already known from Ubuntu 10.04LTS -- Beta 10.10 Nvidia update broke Sony Vaio VPCF136FM installation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/655078 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
