[Bug 415799] [NEW] dhclient doesn't get any dhcpack

2009-08-19 Thread V Sauta
Public bug reported:

(Pardon my English)
dhclient doesn't get any dhcpack, but it did est. 2 weeks ago.
DHCP doesn't work properly in NetworkManager while connecting to both wireless
and ethernet networks.
Even when calling "dhclient eth0", it writes "DHCPDISCOVER on eth0 to
255.255.255.255 port 67 interval XX", but doesn't receive any reply.
Nothing had changed in my router. But dhclient have given up working properly.

[Bug 493927] [NEW] Initrd identifying bug

2009-12-07 Thread V Sauta
Public bug reported:

THIS IS A DUPLICATE BUG REPORT!
But it covers all previous bug reports related to this topic.

Grub2 uses grub-mkconfig script to generate grub.cfg file.
This script uses linux-boot-prober to identify boot options.
If there is Legacy GRUB installed on the probed partition linux-boot-prober
returns INCORRECT (for GRUB2) device (hdX,Y).
And there is a problem.

I don't know what SHOULD return linux-boot-prober, but I see 2 solutions:
1) to fix /etc/grub.d/30_os-prober script
or
2) to fix linux-boot-prober source code if it should return GRUB2-compilant
string

I suppose the first is correct.
