[Bug 237979] Re: Sound playback will cease functioning
I don't know if this is the same bug, but I find all sound ceases once a Flash video plays within a web page on Firefox. Flash movies still play sound - but nothing else will. There's nothing in my .xsession-errors file that seems at all relevant. Anyhow, it ends with "...Too much output, ignoring rest..." [Bug 242921] [NEW] patch to show wifi channel
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: wifi-radar Attached is a simple patch (to the hardy wifi-radar) that will show an extra column with the channel number for each wireless network. This simple tweak allows one to choose the best channel for use - using this tool I was able to identify that half of the 14 networks in my area were using channel 11. Switching channel and my wireless became vastly more reliable - e.g. my VPN stayed connected for hours, rather than disconnecting every five minutes. I have sent this patch to the upstream author, but have not had any reply. [Bug 318015] [NEW] "[fglrx] ASIC hang happened" - crash on switching to AC power
Public bug reported: Intermittently, plugging power into my laptop crashes it, with the screen being corrupted (best described as all pixels on the screen moving a few to the left or right). [Bug 215549] [NEW] XGL failing (glxinfo segfault)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xgl Having upgraded from Gutsy to Hardy, on a Thinkpad T60, which was previous running compiz just fine... XGL fails to load, showing the attached .xsession-errors content. Note, it seems to be searching for nvidea, but I am running ATI (Thinkpad T60). [Bug 215549] Re: XGL failing (glxinfo segfault)
I tried purging the xorg-server-fglrx package, but it couldn't remove /etc/ati. First, I removed the contents of /etc/ati, then I removed the following from the end of /etc/profile: /etc/ati/ati-fglrx.sh # Do not modify - set by ATI FGLRX And, with that, I have XGL back, and I am happy :-) Assuming I can't work out how to, you can close this bug. This appears to have been solved at source: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32066 Seeing as this is an error that occurred *after* 10.10 was released (it broke some weeks after), what are the chances of having the mentioned patch applied to 10.10?
