[Bug 49490] Re: ia32-libs does not have a grasp on its dependancies - edgy eft
libc-i386 replaces ia32-libs ia32-libs depends on libc-i386 !! All the Openoffice stuff depends on ia32-libs. The gcc support library (lib32gcc1) depends on libc-i386. Architecture: amd64; Ubuntu 6.06 What is the workaround to run both gcc and OpenOffice? -- ia32-libs does not have a grasp on its dependancies - edgy eft https://launchpad.net/bugs/49490 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 141419] Inaccurate Longitude
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox Go to Point Roberts WA and zoom in on the US-Canadian border. The road marking it is clearly visible. Yet Earth Google draws the border 275 feet south of its true position. Not only that, it thinks that the 49th Parallel is 733 feet south of where it is. I am using the free version on Linux. That was what I was trying to do. How do I reach them? yamal wrote: > This is not a bug in any part of Ubuntu; firefox will simply display > whatever google sends it. [Bug 552193] Re: Installer Crashed - Please File A New Bug Report
I am getting similar behavior. I have a computer that runs Windows XP on the main disk. I have added a second disk on which Ubuntu 9.04 has been installed in the past. I am attempting to keep Windows on disk sdb and put Ubuntu 10.10 on the second disk, sdc. Wiping out everything on the second disk would be acceptable. This is the third time I have tried to do the installation, and it crashes at different points. Today it got about 80% though "Installing system". It gave an "Installer crashed" error and suggested going to this web page. It suggested aattaching the files /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman:. I cannot open a web browser on this computer under Linux. I cannot open a terminal window, and know no way of looking at these files. I can run the computer under Windows, but then cannot see anything on the second disk. [The option "No, this is not my bug, report a new one" (or whatever) does not work. Clicking on it does nothing. Internet Explorer dispays "Error on page" at the bottom. I am on this web page from a different computer, runnig Windows Vista.] -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/552193 Title: Installer Crashed - Please File A New Bug Report -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 552193] Re: Installer Crashed - Please File A New Bug Report
The problem was a flakey hard disk. I replaced the disk and the installer had no problems. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/552193 Title: Installer Crashed - Please File A New Bug Report -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
