[Bug 850895] Re: [nouveaufb] Plymouth refuses to show on boot, only at shutdown (mountall error messages)

2017-01-07 Thread Tuxedo Joe
This bug seems to be dependant on the user to have a encrypted home
folder or not. If not encrypted installing themes works, if encrypted
only shutdown works. So it seems to me like ecryptfs is somehow blocking
initramfs when reading the theme.

[Bug 1655180] [NEW] Plymouth themes not working with encrypted home folder

2017-01-09 Thread Tuxedo Joe
Public bug reported:

On the multiple machines installing Plymouth themes works great
(http://tux4ubuntu.blogspot.com for instance) if home folders is not
encrypted during installation. Same machines with encrypted home folder
destroys the Plymouth theme on startup (not on shutdown though since it
doesn't use initramfs probably).

Even a workaround when theme is installed and home folder afterwards
encrypted destroys the Plymouth theme.

[Bug 971018] Re: Auto-hide Unity Launcher will not reveal when mouse pushed to left side in VirtualBox or VMware

2016-11-05 Thread Tuxedo Joe
I found that setting:

- Reveal location: Left side
- Reveal sensitivity: Highest

works pretty good. Sometimes you'll have to go there twice though.

I've found that setting:

works pretty good. Sometimes you'll have to move the cursor twice to the
side/bottom though.
