[Bug 149478] Downloads hang on 100% if the part file has been moved

2007-10-05 Thread Tumi Steingrímsson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: epiphany-browser

Epiphany (like firefox) will download a file into [filename].part before
renaming the .part-part away (this does not happen when selecting "Save Link
As"). If the part file is moved while downloading, the download will hang in
epiphany until you click stop.
At 100% the browser should re-check the files location and not assume the
default location to successfully rename the part file.

To reproduce:
1. Right click a link and select "Download Link"
2. While downloading, move the file to another location on the same filesystem.
3. Observe the download dialog as download finishes.

[Bug 104983] Re: Location bar togglebutton does not toggle on Ctrl + L or Go -> Location

2007-04-10 Thread Tumi Steingrímsson
Hinrik: You're right, this isn't a bug. The toggle button is there to
toggle between whether to use entry or pathbuttons by default, not to
indicate whatever mode is currently active. With this patch Ctrl + L
will toggle modes and therefor doesn't return you to pathbuttons when
you press enter. I guess that button is there for different reasons than
I thought first.

So I guess this bug can be marked as not a bug or deleted.

[Bug 208842] [NEW] Error on playing a video added to playlist from the youtube plugin

2008-03-29 Thread Tumi Steingrímsson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: totem-plugins

Totem shows the following error upon switching videos in the playlist after
having added it to the playlist from the youtube browser: "An error occurred:
ffdemux_swf: Element doesn't implement handling of this stream. Please file a
bug."
Note that this does NOT happen if you add it to the playlist by doubleclicking
a video in the youtube browser, only when right clicking it and selecting "Add
to playlist".

Relevant lines from stdout:
** Message: don't know how to handle application/x-shockwave-flash
** Message: Error: Element doesn't implement handling of this stream. Please
file a bug.
gstffmpegdemux.c(1372): gst_ffmpegdemux_sink_activate_push ():
/play/decodebin1/ffdemux_swf0:
failed to activate sinkpad in pull mode, push mode not implemented yet

How to reproduce:
1. Search for something with the youtube sidebar.
2. Right-click a video and select "Add to playlist"
3. Activate the selected video from the playlist.

[Bug 194385] Re: no values in gnome-power-statistics

2008-03-07 Thread Tumi Steingrímsson
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 194719 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/194719

I can confirm similar results from gnome-power-statistics on my Dell Inspiron
6400. This bug must have been introduced recently because this tool worked fine
when I upgraded to hardy a few weeks ago.
It should also be said that gnome-power-manager has stopped detecting my
battery, or at least it doesn't show up in the system tray when discharging.
Attached is the output of gnome-power-manager --verbose.

[Bug 104983] Location bar togglebutton does not toggle on Ctrl + L or Go -> Location

2007-04-09 Thread Tumi Steingrímsson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Nautilus 2.18.0.1 on Ubuntu feisty beta

1. Open up nautilus in browser mode
2. Click Ctrl + L or navigate through the menu: Go -> Location
3. Observe that the togglebutton for the text location bar does not toggle, so
the togglebutton must be pressed twice to go back to normal button-based
navigation

Easily fixable but annoying.

 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Unconfirmed

So here's the patch I made. I'm not a gnome hacker, I have no idea what
I'm doing. Don't even know C.
