[Bug 284198] Re: update-manager crashed with GError in restore_state()

2008-10-15 Thread Torstein Knutsen
It crashes the same with "update-manager" (without the "-d" ) from (su)
terminal, but I can start update manager fine from "system->Update-
manager"

also from user terminal (not root) I can start fine with "sudo update-
manager"

So it seems that it only affects starting in root user in terminal ..
Hope this helps...

[Bug 277924] Re: kernel cannot find map file

2009-01-06 Thread Torstein Knutsen
Confirm this on Intrepid server. Tried to install on a dell powerage 1950 Xenon
(RAID1) (up-to date as of now) 2.6.27-7-server
It runs GRUB, but then fails on "Starting up Loading Please wait", and
drops med to initramfs (with suggestions that uuid is wrong, or rootdelay needs
adjusting). I only type exit in initramfs, and then the system boots . very
strange, is this related to this error ?

Torstein

[Bug 550288] Re: bluez fails to discover mx5000 keyboard and mouse

2010-04-04 Thread Torstein Knutsen
I just came home from holyday, and upgraded my Lucid64, and found that ny
Locitech DiNovo keypad would not be recognized. Tested both on my laptop and
desktop, same issue. Windows OK (so not hardware related)
This had been working fine until my recent upgrade (unfortnatly this had not
beed updated in 14 days, so I cannot pinpoint the date whitch this occurred)
I'ts not beeing used in BT mode, but "hub" mode... (eg paired between dongle
and keyboard, not keyboard and BT-in linux think this i same av Chasey's
problem).

[Bug 528073] Re: os-prober hangs on /usr/lib/os-probes/50mounted-tests on /dev/sda2 and sda2 not present

2010-03-08 Thread Torstein Knutsen
I got the excact same problem .. had to kill blkid twice during install to
complete (on probing other OS and installing grub).
I had win7 installed, but chose to "use complete" disk during install (so no
other OS would be present) Installer made 61GB(sda1) + 2.7GB Extended(sda2) +
2.7GB SWAP(sda5) on my 64G SSD.
Setup completly made by installer.
