[Bug 241335] [NEW] Remove backup files (ending with "~") from source
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: dash The current .diff.gz for Dash contains a number of files ending in ~ i.e. backups of the originals, and they really should be deleted before the .diff.gz gets built. [Bug 76230] no debug symbols for gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg There are debug symbols packages available for various of the other gstreamer packages, but not for gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg. Given that the vast range of media files out there tend to result in a large quantity of bugs being found in any system trying to handle many of the formats, being able to point users towards a -dbg package to install to try and help get a better stacktrace in order to debug the problem is a very useful thing. ** Affects: gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- no debug symbols for gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg https://launchpad.net/bugs/76230 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 422442] Re: Folder sharing informative text unclear
One option is to allow the user to do this automagically. If they've got system-config-samba installed, then the attached script (run as root) will do that. With some PolicyKit magic to do authentication and a suitably nasty "Are you really sure you want to do this? Do you trust all the users on this machine?" message, it might well work... ** Attachment added: "Script to do this automagically" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/38711794/setshare.py -- Folder sharing informative text unclear https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/422442 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 512847] Re: NSS_VersionCheck fails to work as intended
libnspr4-0d was at version 4.7.1+1.9-0ubuntu0.8.04.5. Upgrading this to 4.7.5-0ubuntu0.8.04.1 fixed the issue. One thing to do here might be to run PR_VersionCheck as well when NSS_VersionCheck fails, and print out some sort of "check your nspr version is up to date" if PR_VersionCheck fails. ** Also affects: nspr (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- NSS_VersionCheck fails to work as intended https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/512847 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 673156] Re: New libpng crashes vlc
I've just re-upgraded libpng back to the "broken" version and tested against the previously breaking file, and now all appears fine... yeah, looks like file corruption. I also saw something similar at one point while trying to install a new xulrunner-1.9.2 which appears to have fixed itself as well, so I guess something's sorted itself out.
