Colin, I have tested the (corrected) proposed change: MODULES="sdhci_pci sdhci ricoh_mmc ", and have found it to work on my Toshiba Portege M750 with Ubuntu 9.10. Many thanks! Regards, Tim P.S. It has since become apparent that I misinterpreted this bug as relating to VirtualBox with Win7 guest (as the apparent common factor) when it now appears that the cause related to the presence of a memory card in the card reader.
