[Bug 66250] Should be rebuilt against pcre

2006-10-15 Thread Thomas Petazzoni
Public bug reported:

Hi,

The ocamlnet package should be rebuilt against the pcre package, because
it has interface inconsistencies:

Error while loading "/usr/lib/ocaml/3.09.2/netstring/netstring.cma":
interface mismatch on Pcre.

The problem has been fixed in Debian by version 1.1-12.

Thanks.

[Bug 86680] Re: knetworkmanager stops kde applications from accessing the network

2008-05-08 Thread Thomas Petazzoni
I also confirm that the bug is still present in Kubuntu 8.04. I'm using
a PPP connection for an Eagle USB ADSL modem. The connection works fine
from the command line (ping, wget, ssh, etc.), but not from KDE
applications such as Konqueror. If I stop networkstatus (by running
kcmshell kcmkded and stopping it), or if I quit Network Manager, then it
starts to work correctly.

It's very annoying.

[Bug 195395] [NEW] Adept doesn't report error when no network connection is available

2008-02-25 Thread Thomas Petazzoni
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: adept

After a fresh installation of Kubuntu Gutsy (during which no network was
available), I wanted to change the repository configuration in Adept. I
wanted to enable the Internet mirrors, so I enabled them in
Adept->Manage Repositories. However, it didn't load the package
description from the Internet (no download bar), and the number of
packages available was still low (< 1000 packages). But absolutely no
error message was displayed. After a while trying again and again, I ran
"aptitude update" from the command line, which told me « Cannot resolve
archive.ubuntu.com ». Of course, my Internet setup was not correct: I
had an IP, but no DNS configuration. I think Adept could handle such a
failure and display an error box.

[Bug 1055810] Re: Cannot create keyboard shortcuts

2013-12-21 Thread Thomas Petazzoni
Six months later, I'm updating to Xubuntu 13.10, and this bug is still
not fixed, even though I posted a patch in comment #15.

Xubuntu people, what are you doing?

Yes, finally! Thanks a lot! I was getting tired of rebuilding the
package over and over again to apply the patch.

[Bug 1055810] Re: Cannot create keyboard shortcuts

2013-06-02 Thread Thomas Petazzoni
This problem is fixed by upstream commit
http://git.xfce.org/xfce/libxfce4ui/commit/?id=9dfbc906f89601f145557fe6846e9ad44a8e9e22.
I've backported it on top of the 4.10 version, rebuilt the package, and
I confirm it fixes the problem. Attached is the patch that applies on
top of the 4.10 version available in Xubuntu 13.04.

It would be great if the package maintainer could integrate this patch
into the libxfce4-ui package of Xubuntu. Thanks!
