[Bug 490093] Re: [users-admin] Password is reset to old value when it's been changed using about-me
No, it changed instantly... Guess that it was passwd's limitation that was hanging it! -- [users-admin] Password is reset to old value when it's been changed using about-me https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/490093 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 298532] Re: [i965] reflection plugin freezes systems with Intel GM965
I'm also affected by this. I have a Dell Inspiron 1525, with an Intel Graphics card (quite generic... Can't remember the model), and it happened just like itsjustarumour said. I tried to enter via Failsafe-GNOME, but it froze (I guess it was just a coincidence...) Anyway, I booted via recovery mode, and located the config files for reflection using "locate reflex" Then I found 2 files: /usr/share/compiz/reflex.xml /usr/share/gconf/schemas/compiz-reflex.schemas I changed them both to other names and reboot to normal GNOME... It worked. Then I disabled Reflection with the manager. -- [i965] reflection plugin freezes systems with Intel GM965 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298532 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I checked, it is Intel GM965 Family, indeed. -- [i965] reflection plugin freezes systems with Intel GM965 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298532 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 463353] Re: [users-admin] Modifying user has no effect
I just updated my Ubuntu 9.10, and I still can't change my own password with users-admin GUI, only with users-admin or the command "passwd" in terminal. On users-admin, I tried changing my account's pass with and without clicking the "Allow changes" button. Both were unsuccessful. -- [users-admin] Modifying user has no effect https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/463353 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 463353] Re: [users-admin] Modifying user has no effect
By using the System->Preferences->About Me, I can change my password. The problem I have, is if I try to change my own password by going thru System->Administration->Users and groups. If I try to change it there, it says my password is changed. I try to authenticate it on the same window, it says my new password is correct. But when I do something that requires my password (like updating packages) it doesn't accept my new pass, only the old one. Even if I reboot, the pass to login is still the old one. -- [users-admin] Modifying user has no effect https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/463353 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

You mean, report a new bug about gnome-system-tools? Ok. By the way, I tried to change it again now, using users-admin, and it just keeps loading, and loading... [Bug 490093] [NEW] Cannot change password with users-admin (gnome-system-tools)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools gnome-sytem-tools version: 2.28.1-0ubuntu2 Running on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala, updated. [Bug 490093] Re: Cannot change password with users-admin (gnome-system-tools)
A small update: I triead again to change my pass yesterday, and I can't even using About Me. It just hangs when I type the new one 2 times. I believe it's because my new password is just the old one plus a new string of characters, so when I try to change it via passwd, it rejects it reporting "Bad: new password must be different than the old one". -- Cannot change password with users-admin (gnome-system-tools) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/490093 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 879266] Re: gnome clock 'copy date' ignores custom format
I use Ubuntu 12.04 with Gnome Classic and I'm also affected by this bug. I see this bug is quite old... Can't anyone fix this?? Also, it seems to ignore locale settings...
