[Bug 158601] Re: Pressing space over a firefox extension doesn't select it immediately

2008-08-18 Thread Tabrez Iqbal
Yes, the issue is still present in Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) version.
Updated instructions to reproduce the issue are given below.

How to reproduce:
1. Go to Applications -> Add Remove...
2. Click on any of the Applications shown in top-right panels with the
mouse(click away from the check-box. Just select the application to see its
details and make sure it is highlighted and not to tick-mark its checkbox).
3. Now press space bar on the keyboard and wait for a while without giving any
input(keyboard or mouse). The check-box will not be shown to have tick-mark.
4. Now press the down arrow key. The application that was highlighted earlier
will now have its checkbox showing the tick-mark.

Same thing happens when de-selecting a selected application.

I can post a small screencast to demonstrate more clearly if it is
needed.

** Summary changed:

- Pressing space over a firefox extension doesn't select it immediately
+ Pressing space over a application in Add/Remove Applications doesn't select
it immediately

** Description changed:

- Binary package hint: firefox
+ Binary package hint: Add/Remove Applications

- When trying to select an extension from the default list of Firefox
- extensions that come with Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon, the item is not shown to
- be selected immediately. The checkbox is however shown selected after
- any other input operation, like moving to the next item using down arrow
- key.

[Bug 67536] XChat crashed at start up after changes in Preferences

2006-10-22 Thread Tabrez Iqbal
Public bug reported:

"Problem report for xchat" automatically got started at the start up
time of XChat and requested to attach the following file to the bug
report. I will check if the bug is reproducible and will update the
information here with the results. On this occasion, I had just changed
some of the preferences which required a restart. I restarted and the
bug reporter popped. I can still see the "Network List" window in the
background, so it has not completely crashed I guess.

Attachment File:
http://seartipy.com/upload/files/_usr_bin_xchat.1000.crash

The crash file seems to contain all the information needed, so just
repeating the essentials here:

XChat version: 2.6.6
OS: Ubuntu Edgy Eft Release Candidate

Another problem report while quitting XChat. I am attaching a second
automatically generated crash dump file. Should this bug be moved to the
Edgy page? XChat Problem Reporter is opening this page by default.

[Bug 118751] Re: NetHack is broken (edgy, fiesty, gutsy)

2007-10-10 Thread Tabrez Iqbal
When I run nethack-gnome, it presents dialog boxes lacking text in many
places:

http://img9.imagepile.net/img9/39511nethack.png (also attached)

and after taking all the input, the main window just disappears. The
game doesn't start at all.

I get this error if I run it from a terminal:
bash# nethack-gnome
Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  serial 28142 error_code 8 request_code 62 minor_code 0
Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  serial 28146 error_code 8 request_code 62 minor_code 0
(as also reported by Andrew Fenn)

The console version *seemed* to work fine for the 40 seconds I managed
to play it.

[Bug 24728] Re: Firefox Unstable

2006-09-25 Thread Tabrez Iqbal
I have been experiencing the same problem with Firefox since I have
installed Kubuntu 6.06(ubuntu-desktop is also installed). The Firefox
browser just keeps vanishing into thin air in response to all kinds of
user events(clicking on a link, scrolling down, clicking a button etc).
It does so roughly after working for every 15-20 minutes. I am not able
to find or even guess what kind of actions from the users is causing it
to vanish like that. The problem exists with my epiphany browser too,
but less severe. I have been regularly installing all the released
updates but this particular problem continues to persist.

I had no such problems with Firefox in Ubuntu 5.10. If more information
is needed regarding the curious behaviour of Firefox, please post the
instructions I need to follow to gather the data. The flash plugin works
fine in Firefox but not in Epiphany.
