[Bug 828384] [NEW] unable to turn on/off bluetooth
Public bug reported: unable to turn on/off bluetooth. my laptop is using ALT+F3 to turn on/off both bluetooth and wireless adapter. in earlier release ALT+F3 once it will turn on the bluetooth. fast double ALT+F3 turns the wireless off. since 11.10 it doesn't work anymore. alt+f3 toggle the wireless adapter and bluetooth off/on. the problem is, the bluetooth is not really turned on when pressing alt f3, so doing it will cause the wireless to go off, but no bluetooth turning on. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: alt+f3 bluetooth combination key -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/828384 Title: unable to turn on/off bluetooth To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/828384/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 828384] Re: unable to turn on/off bluetooth
i don't think this problem is really coming from ubuntu. the same thing happens on every distro running kernel 3.x that i tried on this laptop. i read somewhere about modifying the dsdt something, but i don't really understand it, tried but didn't work. the shortcut alt+f3 works fine with kernel 2.39. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/828384 Title: unable to turn on/off bluetooth To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/828384/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
