Thanks for the clarification! So comment #2 is not correct, I guess or I misinterpreted it. [Bug 1255165] Re: CoreDump should never be sent
>From my point of view, daisy.ubuntu.com is a black box. And I would like to be warned before sending private data to such a black box instead of being encouraged. The only way (I am aware of) to avoid the exposure of private data is to not create/collect it. What Gary says is also important. Especially upload bandwidth seems to be "limited resource". Whoopsie could be patched to ignore "CORE" requests from daisy, which should be the default. If one wants to send the core dumps so badly, a solution might be to have an opt-in selection (with an appropriate warning). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1255165 Title: CoreDump should never be sent To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/whoopsie/+bug/1255165/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 873003] [NEW] waf binary in sourcecode
Public bug reported: AFAIK, the waf binary is included in the source package of postler and it is also used to build the source package. In my opinion, source packages should not include binaries (with the exception of restricted packages). I am aware that these are platform independent python "binaries". For java source packages for example, it is not IMHO not allowed to include java-bytecode in source packages and I think the same holds for python source packages. Pleases also note that waf is removed from the ubuntu repository from lucid on. See #529154 for details. [Bug 190673] Re: [needs-packaging] jAOLT
To be honest, it might be bad to directly include the program into the repository because there are times when the program has to be updated frequently such that it would lead to a bug report that an ubuntu developer has to take care of for each new release.
