[Bug 1016181] Re: 168c:002a [Asus M51Tr] ath chip reset failed
I'm having the same problem in Ubuntu 13.10 on an Asus N53SV laptop. I have disabled the power saving as described in #54, I'll report if that fixes the problem. [Bug 1184262] Re: [logind] stuck in PrepareForSleep, causing network and other services to not resume
I have the same problem as #33 (julo), where my laptop automatically goes back to suspend after waking up. I can reproduce this as follows: I start up my laptop, suspend it the first time, wake it up again and I can work on it just fine (except for this bug causing me to have no internet connection). The second time I then suspend and wake up, my laptop will automatically go back to suspend within 30 seconds (whether I log in or not). This cycle then continues and I'm forced to reboot in order to fix it. Note that this happens whether I do or do not use temporary internet connection fix 'sudo nmcli nm sleep false'. The Absolute radio stations changed their policy and are not streaming to my country anymore (I assume anything outside the UK), so I can't reproduce the problem. [Bug 898870] Re: Grid placed window overlaps the adjacent viewport
The bug also affects me on Ubuntu 12.04. If I semi-maximize a window to the right half of the screen, 2 pixels of the window will show on the workspace to the right of it. Just like Justyn Butler describes, Alt + Tab on the workspace to the right shows the window and if selected moves the window to that workspace. This bug is reproducible when dragging the window to the right so it snaps to the right half. This behavior doesn't always occur when using keyboard shortcuts. If I press Ctrl + Super + Up (maximization) and then Ctrl + Super + Right, the window will only run over to the right workspace by 1px (this also removes the Alt + Tab problem!). Pressing Ctrl + Super + Right after Ctrl + Super + Left or Ctrl + Super + Down the window runs over by 2px again. [Bug 1008539] Re: Wrong volume binding when connecting bluetooth speakers
This bug is affecting me as well on Ubuntu 12.04 (64 bit). I connect to a Logitech Wireless Speaker Adapter (http://www.logitech.com/en- roeu/product/wireless-speaker-adapter?crid=47) via bluetooth so to stream my audio to the speaker connected to the Logitech device. The audio switches over to the bluetooth connected speakers just fine, but the 'Output' in 'Sound Settings' doesn't as it still selects the standard 'Speakers' of my laptop instead of the '(8D) Logitech Adapter'. The results is that the volume controls on my keyboard still affect the internal laptop speakers (accompanied with the Ubuntu 'increase/decrease volume' *plop* sounds coming out of my laptop speakers) instead of the audio coming out of my bluetooth connected speakers. Every time I connect the bluetooth speakers I have to go to 'Sound Settings' and select '(8D) Logitech Adapter' as output so the volume controls affect it (the situation just after connecting to the bluetooth device is shown in the attached screenshot). As suggested by the other people in this bug, the Output in Sound Settings should automatically switch over to the newly connected bluetooth audio device. I attached two logs as requisted by Luke Yelavich. The first log depicts connecting the bluetooth device. In the second log the bluetooth connection is already made and I'm pressing the 'decrease volume' keys several times followed by a series of 'increase volume'. These volume change thus don't affect the bluetooth connected speaker. ** Attachment added: "bluetooth.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1008539/+attachment/3648279/+files/bluetooth.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1008539 Title: Wrong volume binding when connecting bluetooth speakers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1008539/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Starting a capture with qv4l2 results in a black window and states 'No frame' in the margin below it. I indeed get a continuing stream of errors when running 'dmesg' while capturing via qv4l2 or vlc (see the attachment). I get no errors though when capturing via 'xawtv', which is the only program to produce some, though garbled, image (as shown in the screenshot). @Joeri: 'apport-collect 1134565' doesn't work as 'v4l-utils' is no program. On which program do you want me to run apport-bug? Thanks for helping out! ** Attachment added: "last 100 lines of a stream of errors" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/v4l-utils/+bug/1134565/+attachment/3649297/+files/dmesg.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1134565 Title: Green/garbled/black webcam [0x0ac8 0xc002] output for Sony VGN-FE21M laptop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/v4l-utils/+bug/1134565/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'm on Ubuntu 12.04.2 64bit with Banshee 2.4.1-3ubuntu1~precise2. + + *** Update + + I used iTunes on Windows to reset my iPod to its factory settings. I + then uploaded music and podcasts to the iPod but both showed weird + behavior. The Podcasts again don't show up under the Podcast menu in my + iPod, but I also couldn't get them to play via the Music menu (podcasts + stayed at 0:00) while the music did play. Both the music and podcasts + weren't shown though in Banshee so I couldn't delete them. + + Connecting the iPod to another laptop with Ubuntu 12.04 32bit (lets call + this laptop B) and the same version of Banshee (Banshee + 2.4.1-3ubuntu1~precise2) did show the music and podcasts. Adding new + podcasts on laptop B also fixed my original problem of not seeing them + under the Podcasts menu. After this, on laptop A Banshee recognized the + music as normal again though the podcast was now indexed in the Music + playlist instead of the Podcast playlist. Newly uploaded podcasts again + don't show up under the iPod's Podcast menu. + + To recap: Everything works fine on laptop B, though not on laptop A. One + explanation I can think of is that I reset the iPod using iTunes on the + Windows partition of laptop B and maybe the iPod only 'likes' being + altered using laptop B. The idea that my iPod might be picky about its + laptop is fueled by sentences from its manual like "If you’re using iPod + nano with a Mac and you want to use it with a Windows PC, you must + restore the iPod software for use with the PC" and "You cannot switch + from using iPod nano with a Mac to using it with a Windows PC without + erasing all data on iPod nano". I don't know much about Apple stuff + though. As a further test I might do a reset on laptop A to see if my + theory is right. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1157707 Title: Podcasts are not shown under my iPod's 'Podcasts' menu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/1157707/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1173150] [NEW] Can't turn off 'Airplane Mode' after toggling hardware wifi switch
Public bug reported: Airplane Mode is stuck on 'On' after I turn off + turn on wifi via the hardware switch on my laptop (Asus N53SV-S1827V), resulting in having no wifi. If I go to 'Network' and turn off Airplane Mode the switch does flip visually (though wifi doesn't start connecting), but when I reopen the Network window the switch depicts Airplane mode to be on again. I tried 'sudo rfkill unblock all' but this doesn't solve it. I have to restart my laptop after which Airplane Mode is still on, but now I can effectively toggle the switch in the Network window. This results in a crash of the Network window, but wifi starts to connect again and when reopening the Network window it shows that Airplane Mode is off. The above behavior doesn't happen when I turn off wifi via the software switch, so it must be related to toggling the hardware switch. [Bug 376815] Re: you tube full screen not really full
I have the same problem on Ubuntu 12.04 64bit with a Nvdia GeForce GT 540M. The problem occurs on both Firefox and Chrome, but only when using two screens. I try to maximize flash video's, but the video stays approximately the same size and the rest of the screen is filled with black. I added a screenshot. ** Attachment added: "Screenshot of a fullscreened youtube flash video, which doesn't go to fullscreen correctly." https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flashplugin-nonfree/+bug/376815/+attachment/3216762/+files/flash-fullscreen-bug.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/376815 Title: you tube full screen not really full To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/flashplugin-nonfree/+bug/376815/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1134565] Re: 0ac8:c002 [Sony VAIO VGN-FE21M] Green/garbled/black webcam [0x0ac8 0xc002] output
Christopher, I am no longer able to help with this problem as the bugged laptop has broken down (the onboard video chip died). I can't start Ubuntu's GUI so I can't test the upstream kernel.
