[Bug 348983] Re: [jaunty] PyTables does not work for Python 2.6
I can confirm this problem as well. Simply running 'apt-get install python-tables' and then 'python -c "import tables"' gives: "ImportError: No module named utilsExtension" The package is therefore currently completely broken in jaunty. [Bug 108230] Re: Boot process asks for "resume device file"
Ok, just thought i'd write down what I did to fix it. The problem for me turned out to be the swap partition not staying in one place (/dev/sda3 one day, /dev/sdb3 the next), so I: 1. Find the current location for the swap partition: sudo /sbin/fdisk -l | grep swap 2. Find the UUID: sudo vol_id [CUR_LOC] 3. Edit uswsusp.conf: sudo gedit /etc/uswsusp.conf and replace eg. resume device = /dev/sda3 with resume device = /dev/disk/by-uuid/[UUID] 4. No, this is standard Ubuntu. If I go into my dell BIOS and set the SATA mode from IDE to RAID, then everything boots ok. I think there seem to be some problems with the new libata library.
