[Bug 376290] [NEW] local cache doesn't update to reflect Groupwise deletes/moves issued from another client
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution I regularly use two different clients (home and office) to access my Novell Groupwise server. Any emails that I delete or move from the inbox on one client continue to be present in the inbox on the other client. Refreshing the inbox folder changes nothing. The only consistent way I've found to fix the problem is to delete the folders.db file from the relevant account folder in my .evolution subdirectory. This forces Evolution to regenerate the local cache. After this the inbox accurately reflects the contents as they exist on the server. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnupg I'm using GPG with Mutt to encrypt my email but GPG seems to output constantly its messages despite I'm using "--no-verbose --quiet --batch". So, I need to refresh the Mutt interface in order to revert what GPG does. The output of GPG should be supressed with these options, but this is not the case. ¿Is this a bug in GPG? The GPG I'm using with Mutt is the recommended in the doc: ### GPG config for Mutt ### set pgp_decode_command="gpg --status-fd=2 %?p?--passphrase-fd 0? --no-verbose --quiet --batch --output - %f" set pgp_verify_command="gpg --status-fd=2 --no-verbose --quiet --batch --output - --verify %s %f" set pgp_decrypt_command="gpg --status-fd=2 %?p?--passphrase-fd 0? --no-verbose --quiet --batch --output - %f" set pgp_sign_command="gpg --no-verbose --batch --quiet --output - %?p?--passphrase-fd 0? --armor --detach-sign --textmode %?a?-u %a? %f" set pgp_clearsign_command="gpg --no-verbose --batch --quiet --output - %?p?--passphrase-fd 0? --armor --textmode --clearsign %?a?-u %a? %f" set pgp_encrypt_only_command="/usr/lib/mutt/pgpewrap gpg --batch --quiet --no-verbose --output - --encrypt --textmode --armor --always-trust -- -r %r -- %f" set pgp_encrypt_sign_command="/usr/lib/mutt/pgpewrap gpg %?p?--passphrase-fd 0? --batch --quiet --no-verbose --textmode --output - --encrypt --sign %?a?-u %a? --armor --always-trust -- -r %r -- %f" set pgp_import_command="gpg --no-verbose --import %f" set pgp_export_command="gpg --no-verbose --export --armor %r" set pgp_verify_key_command="gpg --verbose --batch --fingerprint --check-sigs %r" set pgp_list_pubring_command="gpg --no-verbose --batch --quiet --with-colons --list-keys %r" set pgp_list_secring_command="gpg --no-verbose --batch --quiet --with-colons --list-secret-keys %r" set pgp_getkeys_command="gpg --recv-keys %r" set pgp_good_sign="^\\[GNUPG:\\] GOODSIG" ### End ### ** Affects: gnupg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- GPG spams output using "--no-verbose --quiet --batch" when decrypting email with Mutt https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/405999 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 405999] Re: GPG spams output using "--no-verbose --quiet --batch" when decrypting email with Mutt
The problem persist. When a gpg does a key verification or an email is decrypted, gpg usually output some message which get merged with the ncurses mutt interface. [Bug 224854] Re: _usr_sbin_firestarter.0.crash
I had a similar problem with sudo. I solved it, I hope this helps developers to fix it quickly. Problem: Recently upgrading to Hardy Inconsistent performance from commads "sudo" or "gksu" (I stopped using "gksudo", I thought it was deprecated but in retrospect if it isn't deprecated it might be related to this too). When running a "sudo" command in the console from a computer with hostname "myoriginalhostname" you get the message:
:~$ sudo echo "Hello" sudo: unable to resolve host myoriginalcomputername Hello :~$
The problem is that apparently the upgrader sets the computer name in the /etc/hosts file to the "default" computer name that the Ubuntu installer sets up. Thus, it takes the current user name and appends something like "-desktop" or "-laptop" to the end. So the hosts file might have a line like this:
127.0.1.1 myusername-laptop
Solution: For the installer (developers), you would have to make sure that the correct hostname is written to this file when upgrading. For the end user, edit the mentioned line in /etc/hosts and change "myusername-laptop" to your original computer name. Hi. I would like to report I'm also having this bug. I have it installed on a HP zv6000 laptop with an AMD Athlon 64. I followed the procedure for collecting data for debugging removable storage (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingRemovableDevices) and I am including the output in a compressed folder. However, in running the procedure, the command "ls /dev/sd*" produces an error on my machine because there are no directories beginning with "sd", so there is no "devices.txt" file included in my report. You should also notice that the command "id hal" returned an error. [Bug 86292] Re: usb key is not mounted automaticaly (feisty)
Hi. I'm gonna post how I resolved my "problem;" this is also from a thread running in Ubuntu forums in case there is similarity. I have to post back that my problem with outomounting has been resolved; however it was auto inflicted to begin with. I'll explain what happened in case someone goes through the same (doubtful). I'm working Ubuntu amd64 Feisty on an HP laptop. Those with one know how pleasant it is getting the embedded ATI accelerator and Broadcom wireless card working. Well, I got a vanilla kernel b/c ndiswrapper wouldn't work on Edgy 64 bit without one, and installing ndiswrapper the first time in Feisty didn't work. So I got 2.6.20.7 (so it's close to Feisty's (2.6.20-15-generic), recompiled using The Master Kernel Thread and got ndiswrapper working. I then got fglrx working too. It was a couple of days later that I tried using the USB drive and noticed it wasn't mounting. Thus my posts. I uninstalled fglrx AND ndiswrapper, and reverted back to the 2.6.20-15-generic kernel and guess what? Automounting. But if that's not enough, ndiswrapper was working too! So I still can use my wireless!
