[Bug 445164] Re: No action when clicking connection name (GSM + Wireless)
this bug bothers me in lucid too, installing backports modules lets knetworkmanager react - a connection won't be established anyways though -- No action when clicking connection name (GSM + Wireless) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445164 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to plasma-widget-networkmanagement in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 445164] Re: No action when clicking connection name (GSM + Wireless)
in fact, the backports modules where used in karmic recently, there are non in lucid yet. Maybe someone can post NetworkManager output when these modules are installed. sudo killall NetworkManager && sudo NetworkManager --no-daemon should bring that up. otherwise post cat /var/log/daemon.log |grep NetworkManager (only post the part which is necessary) nm-applet works without these in karmic and lucid without backports. -- No action when clicking connection name (GSM + Wireless) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445164 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to plasma-widget-networkmanagement in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

I've had a little chat with Greg, who has very good contacts to samsungs support. They say we can use this new firmware/bios file: http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.com/downloadfile/ContentsFile.aspx?CDSite=CN&CttFileID=2398615&CDCttType=FM&ModelType=N&ModelName=NP-N128&VPath=FM/200911/20091102094759171/WIN_N128_05IG.exe It's originaly made for N128 but is usable for n130 and should solve the HD Freezes. [Quote] That will change your model number to be "N128", but the good news is, then the new samsung-laptop driver that is in the 2.6.33 kernel will work for you, so your brightness and other hotkeys will be properly supported.
