[Bug 562894] [NEW] wrong date format in "ls -la" output

2010-04-14 Thread RainerT
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: bash

My system is set to german output but the long ls listing shows wrong/us
date format:

t...@tr-ubuntu:~$ env|grep LANG
LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
GDM_LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
t...@tr-ubuntu:~$ date
Mi 14. Apr 11:13:46 CEST 2010
t...@tr-ubuntu:~$ touch myFile
t...@tr-ubuntu:~$ ls -la myFile
-rw-r--r-- 1 tr tr 0 2010-04-14 11:13 myFile

Here is an example of Redhat EL5 which gives different/right output:
t...@tr-ubuntu:~$ ssh xxx
t...@xxx's password:
Last login: Wed Apr 14 11:12:53 2010 from yyy
[...@xxx ~]$ touch myFile
[...@xxx ~]$ ls -la myFile
-rw-rw-r-- 1 tr tr 0 14. Apr 11:15 myFile
[...@xxx ~]$ env|grep LANG

[Bug 549991] Re: Laptop fan isn't often sped up when CPU is hot

2010-04-08 Thread RainerT
I have an Acer Travelmate 3000, here I see the same problem.

It was running Karmic fine, but with Lucid it starts to get hot so that
it already smells.

watch output:

Every 2,0s: cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/temperature
Thu Apr  8 15:38:38 2010

temperature: 78 C

But within 2s it goes down to 55 C so this might be the cause the fan does not
kick in.
I dualboot Win7, this is still running cold and fine so I can rule out hardware
problems.

2010-01-15 Thread RainerT
Yeah! With 0.28.2 this is now the first time I could ever read mail on Exchange
2007 without crashing Evolution.
So far no problems. Thx!

[Bug 562894] Re: wrong date format in "ls -la" output

2011-06-01 Thread RainerT
Yes, then this probably should be reassigned to coreutils.

Here's the ubuntu 9.10 output from a direct ssh logon:
rtraut@tr-ubuntu:~$ locale
LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=

[Bug 562894] Re: wrong date format in "ls -la" output

2011-06-01 Thread RainerT
And here's from RHEL5 direct ssh:
[rtraut@wwwtest ~]$ locale
LANG=de_DE.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="de_DE.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=

looks the same to me.

** Package changed: bash (Ubuntu) => coreutils (Ubuntu)
