[Bug 549991] Re: Laptop fan isn't often sped up when CPU is hot
I have an Acer Travelmate 3000, here I see the same problem. It was running Karmic fine, but with Lucid it starts to get hot so that it already smells. watch output: Every 2,0s: cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/temperature Thu Apr 8 15:38:38 2010 temperature: 78 C But within 2s it goes down to 55 C so this might be the cause the fan does not kick in. I dualboot Win7, this is still running cold and fine so I can rule out hardware problems. -- Laptop fan isn't often sped up when CPU is hot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/549991 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
