[Bug 249448] Re: Bluetooth mouse does not re-establish connection after reboot

2008-10-30 Thread Primož Jerše
Yes, i think it works too - i mean mouse reconnects now, just don't know
what fixed it.

For those of you who doens't work. Try removing device and then before
you readded it, move the visibility to always. Reboot and then change it
back to hidden.

Long shot i know, but it's pretty painfull to do it manually after every
reboot.

[Bug 249448] Re: Bluetooth mouse does not re-establish connection after reboot

2008-10-22 Thread Primož Jerše
Actually, Device ID is mouse's (spelled correctly?) MAC address, kind of
similar to network card's MAC address, meant to find the correct one in
a sea of devices. Every device has different one.

I have Dell Inspiron 1525 and a Logitech V470 mouse, the combination of
was also affected by this bug.

Switching visibilty to 'Always' on inital device connection made it
reconnect on reboot. Worked for days now, I was happy. But since today's
updates (2008-10-22) it doesn't work anymore. In fact, it doesn't even
show on the device list in bluetooth preferences. Also, the preference
screen freezes instantly when i open it and the wizard won't even find
my mouse this time.

[Bug 337467] [NEW] 2.26.27-12 breaks Broadcom BCM4312 wireless

2009-03-03 Thread Primož Jerše
Public bug reported:

Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop
Broadcom BCM4312 Wireless card
Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10

Using driver 'wl' offered under Restricted Drivers Manager which is
missing in 2.6.27-12 and 2.6.27-13 kernel version updated through the
proposed repository.

2.6.27-11 works perfectly.

Wasn't using backports, tried enabling them and updating offered
packages although it doesn't help.

Please find attached output to following commands running 2.6.27-13 kernel:
lspci -vvnn
dmesg
lsmod

$uname -a
Linux laptop 2.6.27-13-generic #1 SMP Thu Feb 26 07:26:43 UTC 2009 i686
GNU/Linux

$ cat /proc/version_signature
Ubuntu 2.6.27-13.29-generic

Let me know what other information I can provide.

Regards
Primož

[Bug 337467] Re: 2.26.27-12 breaks Broadcom BCM4312 wireless

2009-03-05 Thread Primož Jerše
Installing linux-restricted-modules-2.6.27-13-generic did the trick.

Prior to this, i had linux-restricted-modules-common installed as well
as linux-restricted-modules-2.6.27-11 (and lower)

linux-restricted-modules-x (x=12, 13) didn't get installed
automatically, like in the previous versions. Installing the package
manually helped getting my wifi back.

I do not know why, perhaps i am missing some packages that should take
care of the automatism?

Thanks for your help Stefan.
